Statecraft and Duplicity

I would if I were ruler, give tiles to politicians who come along after him. Generally it would be a bad idea to irritate the group of people emerging after you by giving away land to peasants whom one happens to like leaving them in the lurch despite their superior authority and social position.

ooc: That's what I was thinking, considering the RULES say I can't give the tiles away, if I read them correctly.

ooc: Where does it say that, I'm pretty sure you make the rules - unless you're in Soviet Russia, of course

Anyhoo, I shall sign up as Mahmoud al-Layl.

indeed he can, still would be wise to give out to the politicians as they emerge after you considering they are the ones who have the most ability to damage your position if you offend them.

In that case I wish to wait before signing over lands that rightfully belong to the people as a whole. As it is, I will allow public access to my lands for the good of the people, although I would require that all Ivory and meat and other useful products of the land be pooled and used for the good of the entire people, circumstances allowing. We are in a period of growth, and we must hang together to come to our full potential.

Hey guys, finally had enough time to actually read this thread. I'm flattered that some of my rules modeled the game. I've always wanted to see the player experience of GaP, so I'll join :D

I'll be Hassan Ibn-La Ahad

Now now, thats yet to be determined in regards to playing his own game :p

He is the lawgiver and the creator of the form though ;)

quicker than this in the early stages, although Tambien has more substantial (I so believe) RL commitments so naturally it is likely to be slower.

Si senor. Hurry up!
