Status and "To Do" List

Wow! That's a lot of Civs/Leaders. Very Cool!

Install worked great on both my PC and laptop. Played a short game and seems to work good. It was one long startup with all those XMLs loading. Also I'm glad to see that all the 3.0 Leaders/civs are still in place.

Excellent job to all involved...
:goodjob:

I wish I could play this mod - this is not for the faint of RAM. Loading took 10 minutes at least. I started to scroll through the civs and when I got to the Polish Empire Civ crashed. It might have been an out of RAM issue or something. Oh well, I won't play this mod anyway.

Where can I post errors in 4.0?
EDIT: Sorry, I have read the 1st post again.

This is awesome....That is all I can say.

Since I plan on spending the next two weeks playing Civ Gold, let me give you some ideas for the (possible) future release of 5.0:

Rome: It seems to me Rome should have 5 leaders...Trajan? Scipio Africanis? Constantine? If you are going to do a Terrible pack...Perhaps Nero or Caligula?

America: Teddy Roosevelt? Andrew Jackson? Thomas Jefferson? Benjamin Franklin? John Kennedy? I think America could have ONE more leader..

England: I'll keep banging on for Thomas More, but I wouldn't mind seeing a Richard the Lionheart...or Alfred the Great...or even Edward I.

Out of curiosity, what are your specs?

Also, what graphics card to you have? I'm just curious because someone else reported a Poland-related crash. It could be just a coincidence, but it could be something in the mod we overlooked.

If someone (*cough*C.Roland*cough*) can mod a violin, I'll happily add Nero. Constantine is a good choice, too.

There is a Teddy Roosevelt LH around, and it's not bad. But, IMO, it looks too much like the Lenin LH. Thomas Jefferson and John Kennedy are great choices, too.

Richard the Lionheart was originally in, but I went with Henry VIII instead and decided to keep Richard for the terrible pack. *covers head*

Don't get ahead of yourselves: I got a crash trying to talk to the new Hiram in a test version of 1000 BC for CIV Gold, which I'm currently updating...:(

Try to replicate it if you can and add it to the bugs thread. Are you getting it on First Contact or during a diplomacy exchange?

Polish Empire, you say? In another thread someone was having similar problems with the Polish leaderheads. I would suggest to update your graphical card driver.

Although the loading of the mod is not for the RAM-challenged (like myself, I only have 1.5 Gb RAM), when CIV Gold is loaded there should not be any differences in performance when playing a game.

Yeah, I got the impression loading time's slightly longer, but I had that problem w/v. 3.0 Final, when trying to include any Polish leader from CIV Gold in my 1790 AD for CIV Gold scenario. It sounds like the exact same thing I ran into back then.:crazyeye:

On the Terrible Pack: if Hitler & Stalin are included, does this mean there'll be Nazi-Germany and Soviet Russia civs?:mischief:

BTW, Richard the Lionhearted wasn't so terrible, was he?;)

Stalin's in already, of course. I'm not keen on creating a separate Germany, especially since the Germany that exists now already has Panzers as the UU. I think we'll likely assign leaders to existing civs (not to say there won't be new ones, of course).

Terrible enough. ;)

Good Job on the release, didn't have time to test it yet (I am REALLY busy with school  ), but I'll try it soon.

A Nero or Caligula LH for the terrible pack would be really great but unfortunatly, school is keeping me busy, to much busy :(

Hmmm... me being me, I was thinking scenariowise.:mischief:

On the Nero-Caligula LHs: if I was a Roman, I wouldn't know what to do with 'em: they really were terrible - just not Ivan the Terrible-terrible.;) ("Wink-wink, nod-nod, say no more, say no more")

PS: I'm sorry about my earlier outbreak of vocabulary; I sometimes get carried away (I think it might be the Wolfshanze bug)...
