Sicily has been destroyed by the combined armies of Macedonia and Phoenicia. Just as Sicilian armies were totally diverted to the Karthenon, Macedonian armies swept through Italy, and burning the capital. The rest soon fell.
Germany invades Spain! Germany's copper weaponry pushes back the Spanish almost out of France, but the battle on the seas is a diffrent story as Spain bloackades Scandinvia to Germany and plunders all along the caost, lowering the confidence of the people.
Only a few months after the fall of Palermo to Macedon, Instanbul falls again to Macedonian hands. Despite attempts by Poland to stop the invasion, Macedonian and Phoenician armies continued to dive forward, wiping out the remaining army.

Humongous hordes of Tartar barbs in Russia slow Gerogian and Polish expansion. Its so bad, Polish settlers refuse to go out for fear of them.
Several nations have stopped expanding due to high barbarian population, and the people's unwillingness to expand. Those nations (Poland, Nok, Ethiopia) have entered the Barbarian Age, This expanding restriction will be lifted in one or two ages.

Question: Where are los barbarians? I don't see any barb territory near north CA. I don't really care, I'm just wondering.
Story:
Chief Mendez had had enough. He would not tolerate these attacks on his people. He formed an elite unit, the Legiones de Cobre, to combat the infidel barbarian hordes. He ordered that they be outfitted with copper armor that could not be penetrated by the stone weapons of the barbarians, that they carry a short copper stabbing sword, an extra-long copper spear, and a square copper shiled that was body-length and could be interlocked with other shields to form a shield wall. As always, his orders were followed, and these mighty forces were integrated into the Army. The entire Army was then sent north to fight the barbarians.
Orders:
Grow economy to help replace the damage done in the raids.
Send food and other aid to those starving in the north.
8/10 Army launches a full-scale campaign to eradicate all barbarians in the North. Try to force them into pitched battles, attack any of them that are seen, attack and burn their villages, and burn their crops.
2/10 Army defends the rest of California.

Empress Catherine II was in disarray. Barbarians have risen outside the eastern borders of the Polish Imperium. Frontierspeople panicked. Over 4/5 of an entire village of Lithuanian (an ethnic group of Balticans) settlers committed suicide out of fear of being taken by the barbaric tyrants. The few who didn't join their kinsmen in the mass suicide escaped to another village. None of the settlers wanted to leave the borders of the Polish Imperium.
"We will have to protect the Polish border from these Barbarians," Grand Duke Casimir of Vilnius, the Military Advisor, "We should fortify the border to protect our people from the barbarians!"
"You ARE talking about the ENTIRE eastern border, not just the northern parts to protect your fellow ethnic Lithuanians?" Catherine inquired.

We all have lands bordering the Black Sea. I propose a 4-way MPP - the Black Sea Pact to ensure that no one ever messes with any of our nations or tries to grab anything in the Black Sea. It would also ensure no naval battles between our nations and no competition in the Black Sea.

Fortify the eastern border.
Put 3/5 of the Army on the eastern border fortifications.
2/5 Army all over Poland.

Emporer Ho Diam Thet III was outraged that scum as low as barbarians would try to stop the expansion of his glorious empire. His people were superior to all the puny barbarians and the white men out of the far west who focused on their material possesions and desecrated the land. He wanted to get the barbarian races to the far west, past Oman where they couldn't cause any trouble except for the fabled "paleskins." He wanted the empire to be pure and free of taintedness. The Emporer then issued the following decree:
"Any 'paleskin' that tries to settle in Asian lands will be driven out with full force. The only exception is traders who have to stay in guarded trading outposts and not leave unless it be a dire emergency."
