staznesVIII: A Walk in Hell

Not really...the stats dont lie ;)

lurker's comment: Wikipedia FTW! The CSA wasn't formed until February 4, 1861, and Virginia, Arkansas, Tennessee, and North Carolina didn't join until May 20, 1861. So shouldn't the NES start in 1861, not 1860? ;)

Azale's comment: Yes yes, I have realized this already. 1861 is when the NES really begins. Now join already!

lurker's comment: Sorry, I have an absolute limit of 2 NESes at a time, and I'm already in 3.5! I'll just lurk.

Azale, i have a problem with the military stats. What's the point of making the inital size so small if people can increase it by 5 with the use of an eco point..?

I dont know thom, but I made divisions have 10,000 men each. That is realistic for division size. According to my historical stat source, all of these stats are accurate. Do you think it would be better if I just doubled everyones armies?

Im not sure I want to do that though....I think it will be fine this way. Armies started out small in dasnes as well, and grew exponentially due to wars and whatnot. Its normal.

Standing armies were low. Usually people had to do this business of conscription to raise them to size, and that's what the eco point represents.

Or you could just make the increments smaller. Easier that way :p It's awfully expensive to exponentially grow your standing army.... conscripts on the other hand...

@NK's point: So using eco points to grow army = conscription now, or is conscription separate like in das' nes for example when it's free?

eco points are like paying people to join the army like paying for their college intuition while conscription is just join the army or i kill you:evil:

Rules are das rules, word for word.

You, as the UK, could of course raise a 200 division army almost in one turn. Of course, you could then except mutinies, desertion, bankruptcy, etc. So there are checks for rampant army increases as there always is. The standing armies are small because they were small in 1861.

Well as long as the checks are there, it's ok :)

Now can you tell me how many EC's i have? :(

nothing was here
