I tried going back to the game where I got Stealth bombers on turn 192 to try the increased culture thing, but I didn't make enough manual saves and ended up losing Porcelain Tower this time. Rather than getting to Education asap, I messed around with trying to raise the median for the early RAs. I may go back to this one again, but instead i think I'll try starting from the beginning on a new game.
I was even thinking of having a go at it with Korea, but instead of prioritizing GSs, I'd prioritize GEs and settle them. After all I'd get 2 beakers per specialist no matter what type and 2 beakers from the manufactory, while significantly boosting my production. Or set up 4 cities each specialized for production, gold, science and culture and try to get at least 2 of each specialist's buildings. With saving at least 1 GS to bulb into the Renaissance that is. Of course timing the library, NC and university in the capital could get me to Ren without using a GS to bulb.
