SteamDB: "Bison" Depot??

That would be classy of Firaxis to leave us with a free new civ. Don't think they will, but the little optimist inside of me can't help but cross his fingers.

Maybe they salvaged some of the art assets from the Pueblo and are going to use them for another Native American civ?

Who says there will be more info tomorrow? Did Kate mention that?

Kate said it was being released in the US tomorrow.

EDIT: Kate has posted this on the 2k forums about 30 mins ago:

I can confirm, Civilization V: Complete is coming soon and the Conquest for the New World Deluxe Scenario will be included in Civ V: Complete.
In addition to this, The Conquest of the New World Deluxe Scenario will be available for FREE via Steam to everyone who already owns a copy of Brave New World. Also, The Conquest of the New World Deluxe Scenario will be attached for FREE to anyone who purchases Brave New World going forward as a bonus.

I wonder why she said "coming soon" and not "available tomorrow"?

I'd wager that the Conquest Delux DLC comes out tomorrow for BNW owners, and the Complete Civ 5 Package comes out at a later date.

Okay, under the assumption that we're getting one or more new civs with Conquest Deluxe, what are your guesses?

I would say, based on geographical diversity, relevance to the scenario, and popularity, it'd be the Sioux ("Bison" as the codename still applies). If more than just the Sioux, there is a very good chance of seeing perhaps a culture like the Cherokee, Shawnee, Seminole, Algonquin, etx. - a Southeastern-based culture. And perhaps the Pueblo assets could be put into use as a Navajo or Apache civ, since they're all related geographically. Or maybe Firaxis' last hurrah is that they were able to work things out with the Pueblo council and the surprise is the Pueblo as a civ?

I shouldn't be speculating, haha, I want to be surprised.

^Or was it... :crazyeye:

You know, if they wanted to add new civ, they would call it "Civ that and that" pack, not "The Conquest of the New World Deluxe" scenario.

Perhaps you are right. It could also contain new tiles (natural wonders, luxury goods, other special tiles *cough*bison*cough*).

I'm honestly not expecting anything major. More excited about the probable patch.

I really, really doubt that they're going to pick the Sioux. They didn't pick them when they had to bail on the Pueblo, and due to their inclusion in prior games they would have been the obvious backup choice.

I personally think that Bison doesn't mean anything and it was just a code word Firaxis used because they got tired of us knowing what all the DLC was before it was announced. While I'd personally be interested in the Cherokee or a northwest civ, I wouldn't expect a third North American tribe; the nations in the area never really did much in terms of global influence other than the Iroquois, who are already included. There are other areas that are underrepresented in comparison to their influence that Firaxis would more likely go towards (*cough* Vietnam or Congo *cough cough*).

Imagine, out of the blue... it has nothing to do with bison and they are adding Australia  :P
hahahahahaha... NO!

There will be no new civs, or else the Complete Edition wouldn't have "43 civilizations" in its details, which we know it does.

Maybe someone who picks up the Complete Edition still has to download Mongolia. :mischief:

Whilst I don't think there will be any new civs either, we don't know who wrote that - it could be someone added up what there was so far and put that down as the number of civs.

I do think it's strange though that there hasn't been a single word said about the actual content of the COTNW deluxe scenario, nor a single screenshot. You'd think that at the very least, even if it contained nothing but the same scenario as before, but with more civs, then 2k games would tell us how nice they're being giving away something for nothing. This, above everything else, tells me there's no new civs; perhaps they didn't tell us to maximise sales. Who would buy the Spain+Inca pack if they knew they were about to get the civs for free? There's folk out there that have BNW but not G&K, so the fact that they might be getting the Dutch (potentially) and Maya (potentially) for free might dissuade them from buying.

That would be really cool, some real natural wonders would be apreciated instead of the fantasy ones.
