stJNES8: Of Empires

to Egypt:
We d not agree. Cyrene is not egyptian settled, that is a city that was built by Pheonicins and settled by them. But we will let the people there choose.

to people of Cyrene:
What you prefer?
1) stay pheonicia
2) become part of egypt.

Amirsan, I told you. Your plans required for all the Aragonese army to be in the same spot, all attack like you said, and all be in a valley while you were on a hill. It just wasn't so. Small attacks here and there, ambushes, and peasants fighting back took their toll.

Story later tonight, maybe.

German Orders: *SECRET*
Build city of Breslau in Silesia.
Increase Spearmen.
Train Spearmen.
Start to make raids across the border into Prussian land. Kill as many Prussian troops as possible and plunder as much profitable goods or money (if coins exist yet) and immediately withdraw to the border. Make sure that the raids are quick but effective. Use the Spearmen and if any civilians feel like raiding also, have them also raid the Prussians.
If possible to do this w/o using the Army, have settlers continue expanding toward the Danube. Once they reach the Danube, make sure they DO NOT cross south of the river.*SECRET*

Today was a joyous day in Macedon. The terrible old king Philip had died in his sleep, and his fair son Alexander had taken the throne. He was much more kept to himself than his egomaniacal father had been, and he was a brilliant tactician and general.

Also, reports from the battlefield had yeilded good news. Greece had been reduced to just Athens. With one fel swoop by the Macedonian Army, the small cheifdom would fall.

Diplomacy

To: Thracia
From: Macedonia

Would you like a formal alliance with our kingdom? A conflict with your people is not wanted. (I cant remember if I already asked this or not)

Orders
- create navy, send some ships to found a colony on Anatolia (like, where modern day Izmit is)
- use other economy to increase infrastructure

- build city of Tirana at the far Northwest of Macedon
- expand to the north, and to the northwest
- if its free, build a road from the capital to Tirana

Military Orders
- with Spartas help, use 600 men to charge the city of Athens.
- if and when we take the city, put down resistance swiftly, but be kind and caring to those who obey and catipulate to Macedonian rule

Espania

Alright, I am in a rush, and it seems you dont like following my tactics so this time it will be minimum and straight up.

Increase army of Bronze Swordsmen

Hold position on my border. Display a tremendous defense against thier counter. Hammer them with our Archers surrounded by our spearmen. When they pucture our lines, we are to flank them from the back with Chariots and from the side with our Swordsmen. When thier offense is exausted, we will wait one day, and then invade them, IF we have killed more than half of thier army. If not, then we are to stay put for thier other attacks. We are to attack when we know we are 2:1 to them.

When that happens, send in scouts in thier clothing (take some from the dead soldiers) and scout the villages on the border. Look for nearby armies and get thier locations.

Then we will attack with the same strategy, hammer with archers, move in one division of spearmen, the other surrounds archers, use chariots to flank and bronze swordsmen to finish them off. We will loot as many villages AS WE CAN before they know our strategy and the retreat, then attack again, and so on. Keep atleast 5-10 men like one mile infront of the main army to scout potential ambushes.

I am going to be very busy the next week or so, so put my nation on NPC until I have more time on my hands.

Shock Tactics

The Scythian horsemen are taking casualties in battle against the Samartians due to the fact that the Samartians can see the approaching horsemen and come prepared to fight. This tactic should allow Scythian horsemen to use their speed more effectively.

A horseman should never ride into battle burdened. Doing so will not let him ride and fight up to his full potential. Camp should be made back from the battle lines, guarded, so that the horsemen will have supplies for rest and recovery. Furthermore, a horseman should always use surprise, whenever it is possible. In this way, he can catch the enemy off guard and inflict as many casualties as possible while losing few. If a horseman loses his element of surprise, he should engage his enemy at long ranges with the bow before switching to a spear for close-quarters combat. Again, this is a way to shock the enemy and cause many enemy casualties while taking few casualties.

ORDERS:
New UU: Horse Archer, adept at shooting from a horse with the bow and arrow and slingshot.
Raise horsemen and horse archers (2 economy)
Bank 1 economy
Send horse archers and all horsemen to battle the Samartians. Take the Crimea and continue a westwards advance.
Send 300 spearman to expand southeast into the Cacasus
200 spearman defend the Scythian homeland.

Please don't penalize me for lack of writing I just really don't have the time :(

- Increase trade level
- Start trade with Rome
- Use present education to learn how to domesticate camels
- Fortify 3/4 of army on Southwest and Southeast corners of Egypt
- Chariots to do the same
- Once the Nubians seem unprepared in the regions, generals are to attack from their positions into Nubia.
- Ok, so as I learned that you don't know everything geography-wise in stJNES5 ;) I'll remind you there are marshes along the nile in between Nubia and Egypt that would make invasion from either side directly up rather difficult. My army positions are meant to circle around this obstacle.

update???

to be honest with you, i think every time he sees someone say that (reminding of an update) he wants to update less I know I would if it were the case if I were running one, so dammit, just stop ****ing reminding him, as I honestlly think ti dose more harm then good in the longrun.

are you updating anytime soon jason? :p

Xen is completely right. It just frustrates the hell out of me when I see "Update". I do try to update as often as I can, guys, and it's not like I forget. Its okay to ask me when I plan on updating so you know when you should do orders, but please don't bug me about it.

On that note, I did start the update yesterday, so I will finish it now, shouldn't take too long.
