Rome
Expansion was going well, the new city of Napolis in the south was doin well as a local sub capital, and cities Roman cities and town were startign to dot the region, though more importantlly, previouslly unallied city states were joining Rome.
more over, two new peoples, the Carthaginians, and the macedonians had been found out about, an dwere looked upon by Rome as welcomed guests when envoys, deligates arrived, and were treated warmlly- but no
too warmlly, after all, these were new peoples- similer to the citizens in southern Italy- born well tanned (Roman citizens were usually born pale, but time in the sun would bronze them up, or, alternatlley, give them a bad sun burn, eventually leading to what the Roman call "sun block", with an SPF factor of 1, to help allieveiate the occursed "sun-burn")
but all this was admisndt mix news- the Etruscans were were welcomed into the Roman league and state, and many had indeed come, such as mantua and Felsinii in the far north, and Tarquini in the south- but the other Etruscan states, while now peaceful, for the msot part at least, with Rome remained indipendent, not yet convinced of what glories coudl be achived, or rather, as Prince Aeneas thought, because they were afriaid they would loose thier royal beinifits as the princes and kings of thier lands...
it was thus that the prince concived of an idea- all the royals and nobility of each city would get to retian their effective postitions, while being under the rule of Rome, to help entice it, they would all also form a council to advise the High King at Rome, and even make common law in Roman lands, and perhaps even have limited right of veto over the king of Rome proper, as thier was always an unfortunate rule of some semi insane of perverse king that afflicted every ones lands at least once...
Rome would be entiering a time of reform, so as to unfiy the remaindr of italy- once again would diplomats and envoys set out to the many cities of Itallia, to show the cities what could be done under rule of Rome, and to show them that they could have thier cake and eat it to, all while being part of somthing even greater then they could be as part of thier lone city states...
Though elsewhere, in Roman territory, a great road, the Via Appia had been built to Neapolis, and had inspired the people to build thier own, unofficial roads to Rome as well, roads that would indeed aid Rome infrasturucture by being able to have goods travel between cites far faster and far easyer then ever before, but the REAL achvenemts out side the Road works was the megalithic temple of Jupiter coming up in Rome itself, a huge temple, dedicated to the greatest of the Gods was being erected, of pure marble, making use of architectual wonders such as the three types of columns, and the magnificent dome and archways developed by roman architects, it was to be a master piece, somthing to inspire awe and glory in the Roman populace, and to inspire national Pride for all Romans, and who hailed themselves as Romans, a place for weddings, and preperartion for war, it was ot be a magnicent sight once completed
