Hopefully a story can be edited in later.
Edit: Sorry they were so long. I just wanted to make sure I had left nothing out.

Long odds, but we have fought enemies far stronger than us than the Persians are right now, and our people are a proud, strong folk who will stand against any foe (think back to my nation background, the initial war against the Bhojas).
Have the following address read in every Gujarati village (You may reprint it in the update if you figure you need content for my section

It is also going to be in my story. ) :
People of Gujarat, this is from your King, Chandragupta. Today I write to you not as king, but as a fellow citizen of Gujarat. These times are desperate times. We are struggling for freedom, as we did in the early days, against the Bhojas. We are struggling to keep our families, villages, our lives safe from a people alien to us, conquering people who wish to steal our lands and drive us away.
People of Gujarat, these times are hard times, and all I ask you to do is to remain strong, calm, and be with reason. Everything you know is being threatened, the threat of foreigners taking away your land and attempting to settle as locals, to threaten our culture, our sense of identity.
We faced this kind of danger and threat before. The Bhojas. They came, they slew, they feasted upon the products of our blood, sweat, and hard work. But we held them off. We faced overwhelming odds, but our people persevered, and we drove off the Bhojas. We were forced to flee that day, for we did not wish war, we were desiring for peace so much, that we left our homes to make sure no more of our kin would be slain. It was not a cowards flight, but that of a noble, compassionate people, looking out for their families, hoping for a new life, free of the war and strife that has nearly ruined us all.
But this time, we are strong. We are powerful, and have invested years of hard work into lands that took long to yield bountiful crops, that needed much investment of blood and sweat to make it to their present status of a breadbasket of the Indus. And the Persians want to take that away. They wish to take everything we have invested so much time in, so much sweat, toil, and tears.
We should not allow that. We must not allow that. We are entrenched, and have marked this land as our own, not as anyone elses. We are to fight here, in this war. We will make a stand, for the pride and the honor of the Gujarati people! Our protector god, Vishnu, will guard us from these invaders. But you must have faith. You must have strength, to survive the coming times. Have faith in your nation, your people. The people of Gujarat.
And defend what we have worked so hard for.
Create new Unique Unit:
Vishnu Warrior: These are fanatical warriors dedicated to the survival of Gujarat as an intact nation, and to the Protector god of Hindu religion: Vishnu. They carry short stabbing spears, and long, easily carried oxhide shields. They are in essence a highly mobile section of the army, and can nearly equal the trot of a horse over long distances, while still having the advantage of an infantrys ability to take cover. Much like the Zulu impi: a highly mobile, disciplined striking force. It is somewhat lacking on defense.
Army increases are as such:
100 clubmen
100 spearmen
2 increases of Vishnu Warriors, I dont know how much a UU gets.
This will launch our nation into a Depression, but the survival of the Gujarati people comes first. Hopefully the patriotic Gujarati workers can work hard enough to make it not so bad, maybe even help the economy level stay at Recession (this is optimistic, but our people are fiercely devoted to their idea of a nation).
Now, the actual plans require quite some explaining. The (hopefully) attached map will aid the explanation a lot.
Plan One is in case the bulk of their forces launch a direct attack on our heartlands, which is the most likely thing they will do, as they will try to win the war as soon as possible, and our defense forces seem rather skimpy. They will also likely think that if they defeat us there, then actually occupying our Indus possessions is not necessary, as they can demand that in a peace deal.
Basically, the Persian intrusion onto our lands, according every world atlas Ive seen, is on the brink of a vast wetlands, the Rann of Kutch. This is the key focal point of our plans, and indeed, if the indus farmers could deliberately mess up their irrigations in the area to make it even more of a swamp, they will be compensated at the end of the war.
Their intrusion, having not quite gotten to this area, will be only distantly aware of this vast swamp, for they would only get some rumors from traders who strayed too far from the roads, and how likely is that to be their source of information? They also will probably assume that we will not fight in the swamp, as they are accustomed to fighting for a specific area, and the Rann of Kutch is not exactly an area wed be likely to defend, for we would likely make a stand for the heartland of our nation. They would also not expect us to go on the offensive, but to stay on defense, protecting our lands as we are so apt to do (our culture suggests as much, after all).
Thus, they will likely try to use the main travelers routes through these lands, and will be on the march, not expecting a battle in the midst of a swamp. We, our farmers and people entrenched in the area for hundreds of years, will know the secret paths and off road areas, and the best areas for ambushes, whereas their people would not be accustomed and yet to discover them, plus, they would not likely have many settlers in the swamp. Especially since it is beyond their control.
The map below show their probable avenue of attack the direct route to our heartlands and our capital, which they will try to reduce as soon as possible in a brown color. Our own forces are a purple.
Four hundred of our clubmen (the circles) will advance to the edge of the Rann of Kutch. They will then launch hit and run attacks against their forces. The clubmen are especially suited for this, as their small weapon makes for great mobility and ease of handling in a swamp, something their chariots, archers, and spearmen wont have, and that only their clubmen can match. Our men, using the well treaded paths that we have great knowledge of, will ambush and surprise their men in various spot through the woods, attacking unsuspecting men who are on the march, and not ready to defend themselves, certainly not in a swamp, like wolves on sheep.
The clubmen will likely be driven back, and the Persian forces advance, but the surprise at first ought to cost them many lives. Indeed, the initial hit and run attacks will make the whole Persian attack more likely, as they will assume that we are going to attack them from that direction, and they will figure they need to focus there, and, being superior in numbers, will try to crush us. This is pretty logical, I think.
As the clubmen are doing their initial movements, the rest of our army will be marching around the swamp, and likely the enemy, continuing straight forth, will not notice them. Especially since they wont look for military maneuvers right on the frontier of civilization. (all initial movements are shown in continuous lines)
They will draw up in two major groups. One, the two purple squares on the map, consists of 100 clubmen for initial scouting and attacks, then 200 spears for the heavy duty fighting, and lastly, 175 archers to support from behind, firing arrows into their midst. The other, marching farther out and therefore longer distances, is the highly mobile Vishnu Warriors.
As the clubmen surprise the enemy with their initial hit and run raids, the forces wheel around the Persian flank (dotted lines), the major group of the army attacking their rear in the northern sector of the Rann of Kush and surprising them again, this time from behind, with heavy combat troops. Being attacked on two sides, they will likely be demoralized and disheartened, and less effective in fighting. The Persian Left will likely collapse.
The Vishnu Warriors, in the meantime, will use their mobility to sow discord among their supply lines and communications. Their general will lose all contact with the situation (unless he is one of those types who leads from the front, and thus may be killed by a raid), and they will be cut off from resupply. All they will have to eat in the next few days is what they carried on their backs.
This results in the following situation: Almost a thousand troops crowded into a swamp, their weaponry disadvantageous for the terrain (except in the very back, but there they will be surprised by our flanking movement, so they will be equally impaired), their general having lost all contact with the situation, unless he has died, if not starving then lacking in food, their weapons rusting in the moist environs, fighting far from home. They will be demoralized and terrified.
Then, at this point, we offer them the chance to surrender: they will give us their weapons and swear not to fight Gujarat in the future, and we will not harm them, and go back to Persia. This will have a quadruple bonus: They will lose men, the rest of their men will be even more demoralized, we will gain some iron weapons to study and use, and their men, even if they do take up arms again, will have lost them expensive iron weaponry.
For those that dont surrender, we will continue to roll their forces up , outflanking their line with our knowledge of the terrain and surprise. Those forces that do escape to will be intercepted by the Vishnu Warriors, who have much better morale and a fanaticism to wreck havoc.
This will defeat and demoralize their entire nation, and they will hopefully sue for peace at former borders, or we could continue attacking. We will have captured at least some of their weapons, and their chariots, even if they pull out, will likely be left behind.
Contingency Plans:
If they attack the Upper Indus region instead, or simply stay put and go on defensive, feint and launch hit and run attacks with small forces of clubmen, forcing them to attack or have a constant threat to their newly acquired lands.
If any troops from the Aryans or Dravidia answer our plea, then have their force aid the clubmen by acting as an anvil for the hammer of our flanking forces will strike on, and as a base for the clubs to launch their raids from.
If they detect our flanking forces, which would be unlikely, as we would be taking the roads in the hills on the edge of civilization and with few around to spot us, then use the clubmen to attack their rear (while they are still cut off from their supplies by the Vishnus).
Map: **TOP SECRET**
Note: Flanking forces should actually strike a little more frontage than indicated, Vishnus are obviously disrputing supplies, and the followup movement (the steady rolling up of the flank once the northern pocket is finished) is not indicated.
