StKNES5: A New Lease on NES

lord_iggy but you said to forget the old orders and just use the new ones, where you upgrade your army and start the wonder only.

From Crimea
To Eire:
We'd love one, though it may be risky - at least half of the nations between us, we hear, are literally a war zone.

From Eire
To Crimea
Fear not, our ships will protect any trade vessels between our nations

To Rome
I'm sure you're aware that Eire is at war with your trading partner Portugal. We suggest you withdraw from your trade agreement with them as any trade ships approaching Portuegese cities will be sunk. Should you choose to try and 'convince' us otherwise, we warn you that our forces are fully ready for battle.

To France, Belgium, Brandenburg, Crimea, Muscovy, Gutan Empire, and Norway
With wars erupting across Europe, it is necesary to preserve the trading of free nations. Any trading vessels traveling within the Celtic Sea, English Channel, North Sea, or Baltic Sea are now under the protection of the Eirian Navy. Should any trading vessel be attacked in the afformentioned areas, the nation responsible for the attack shall be considered a pirate of the seas and have their navy hunted down, destroyed, and their coasts blockaded.

To: The nations of the Orient, against Nihon.
From: Malaysia

Your cause has not gone unnoticed. Nihon has been dominant for far too long, and they must be stopped. Malaysia will put our forces and considerable fleet into action against these cruel overlords.

To: Nihon
From: Malaysia

Your time has come. For too long, your corrupt monarchs have lorded over the Pacific, and Malaysia's bretheren in Kalimantan. Your unprovoked attack has proven to us that you cannot be trusted, and that you wish to conquer all and plunge the balance into chaos. Your people will be assimilated, and the wisdom of Balism taught to them.
This is a formal declaration of war.

To: Nations practicing Demosism
From: Malaysia, speaking on behalf of Balists everywhere

We do not object to your new beliefs, for they preach the values of equality and democracy, two things that hold the balance intact. As long as your beliefs do not become violent, your beliefs can be tolerated by us.

I can't stay in this nes, sorry, I was busy for three-four days and couldnt send orders, and so now my nation that I worked hard for is in tatters. I dont feel like building it up again.

To: Eire
From: Rome

We decide by ourselves do or do we not continue trade with protuguese, not you. If our ships *might* get sunk, we are willing to take that chance.

To: Austria
Get out of northern Italy immediately, and we may let you live

From Eire
To Austria

If you require assistance against Rome, we may be persuaded into aiding you.
To: Eire
Are you seeking war with us? We have showed no aggression against you, but yet you are making threats and aiding our enemies. May I ask why?

From Eire
To Rome

No aggression? Was it not you who just invaded Dalmatia for no reason what so ever? The fact that you continue trade with Portugal aids them, which we consider an aggressive act. We have not aided your enemies, and our threats are to your trading ships bound for Portugal; should they choose to ignore our blockade of Portogese cities, they will be sunk. You are already at a two front war, we suggest that you don't add any more enemies at the current time. In addition, the fact that you are spying on our diplomats and sticking your nose in our personal affairs is something very unwelcome.

To: Commonwealth
From: Malaysia

We do have a non agression pact now right? For we have fulfilled all of your requests in signing NAPs with the rest of the Indonesian-Australian nations.

Awww man I forgot to send orders.

New Illini Orders

Grow economy. Invite the tribes for parties and social events. Make friendly and try to intermingle a bit, maybe ask for one or two of their daughters hand's in marriage and making the same offer. Keep our guard up of a certain extent of course, but respect these new tribes.

In the year 1192, King Murzil I of Malaysia and the senate had completed their formal declaration of war against Nihon. At the same time, Balism was reaching challenges. New religions were slowing the expansion of the true balance. The knowlege had to be spread.

At the same time, an elite group of warriors were developing in the army. These warrior priests, called Balazis, fought with far greater skill than any other unit in the army and spread the faith as well, if not far better, then any preacher. Balazis bear two great swords, designed in a style that we would think of as arabic. But in this alternate world, Malaysia was the first to create the deadly blades. They can smash through any shield, and parry and attack at the same time.

Outside of battle, these men (and a few women) spread the faith through conquered lands, or through faraway non-believing nations. Their faith is said to be the strongest that ever existed. All over their torso and shoulders, they are tattooed with triangular designs, which shifted as they moved, showing the balance, changing, but always returning to the symetry it originally was.

The Balazis were to be instrumental in the war against Nihon, as we will see soon. On any attack they're, arguably, the strongest units of their age. They are very skilled in offensive and defensive city fighting. The closest things they have to weaknesses are their speed, which is the same as any infantryman, and their defensive skill outside of cities, which is also average.

OOC: Balazis have excellent offensive skill everywhere, and are skilled city fighters on offense and defense, due to the loose organization of the unit, which allows each skilled warrior to think for his or herself. They are stealthy, and always travel a distance away from the main force, but not so far away as to not help when a battle starts. They also convert people to Balism after conquering them, or in peacetime, simply convert like preachers.

Edit to Malaysia's orders.

-Send 1/4 of the ships that were supposed to blockade the southern Nihonese islands and make them patrol my west coast.

To: Eire
How does my affairs with Dalmatia concern you? And I have good reason to believe that they have been pillaging trade caravans going to Byzantium, which I consider as an declaration of war.
My trade with Portugal won't change course of the war, and I have paid for that route so I'm not going to stop the trade.
In addition, the fact that you are spying on our diplomats and sticking your nose in our personal affairs is something very unwelcome.
You offered to help Austria in their fight against us, which makes it our affair just as much as it's yours.

@ andis: Probably looking @ diplo not meant for you.

lurker's comment: You're sending 25 or so ships against Nihon's 400? :p This talk of their "aggression" is amusing too, they never attacked anybody. Come on Kamilian, they're like the strongest NPC in the world. Kick some ass with them. Also, whatever happened to the Hawaiian expedition? ;)

From Byzantine
To Eire:
We wish to confirm what Romans just said, the caravans going from Rome to Byzantium have mysteriously disappeared after entering Dalmatian lands. We consider robbing our money a good enough reason to start a war for both Rome and Byzantine. Byzantine wants nothing but peace with Eire, but know that these affairs between Rome, Dalmatia and Byzantine are non of your business and interfering will bring you lots of enemies.

Kamilian- 1. I started two trade routes, one with Georgia and one with Egypt
2. I put in my orders for roads to be built between ALL of my cities (I even capitalized ALL)
3. I was supposed to have established Jiddah in Saudi Arabia.
4. I only ordered for my two trade routes to be started, I did not increase economy, her is a copy of the orders for this past update:

"1. Have 2/3 of naval force guarding trade route with Byzantium (2/4 of entire navy) withdraw from guarding the trade route.
2. Have one quarter of fleet explore the Black Sea, go straight through the Meditteranean, and then explore the West African coast to give Israel contact with more countries, have them return after gaining contact with Ghnaa.
3.Have another quarter explore the Meditteranean (if I don't know people in the Meditteranean) then have them explore the European coast to establish communications, have them return after exploring the baltic and Norway.
4. Have a third quarter explore along the Red Sea. Bring along 1/4 of army (1/2 of this force should be regular infantry, and 1/2 Macabees) and settlers. Establish ports of: Jiddah (guard with Macabees) in Arabia, Berbera and Caluula in Somalia, and something on Scotra (couldn't find the names of any cities). Guard all cities, unless otherwise mentioned, with regular infantry.
5. Finish roads connecting ALL Israelite settlements. Build roads to Egypt and Georgia if trade is worked out and land routes are used.
6. Spend 2 to establish trade route with Egypt (if they agree) and two to establish trade route with Georgia (if they agree). Both using city of Tel-Aviv.
7. Have 1/4 of Army expand south into Arabia, all REAMANING Macabbees are to be among the soldiers.
8. Before any operations are carried out have Palestinians train all units, especially Macabbees but also other soldiers, in dessert warefar and Arabic tactics.
9. Have Kohanes (priests) sent out to finish converting Palestinians.
10. Continue work on The Temple of King Solomon"

I am puting my orders seperate so as not to create confusion.
