stMinionNES2: Because it's tight like that

Romans build a road system to transport their troops to the Etruscan lands (causing their immigration). English start northward expansion again.

no, the emiigration of the Etruscans was due to the Minoan fleet activelly coming to the aid of the etruscans, and ensuring thier safe passage to minoan lands

 News to me. That's too long of a voyage for military vessels to carry that many Etruscans back to Minoa. I was under the impression that thousands of Etruscans reached Minoa by their own means, mainly dozens of weakly built galleys.

Ill take Egypt again lol
Orders:
-Grow economy
-continue my wonder
-spread south with 100 men along the nile, for a city at the southernmost area of my expansion
-spread east to the coast of the red sea with 125 men, form a port on the Red sea, i dont care where

To Imperium:
We would like to maintain good relations with our neighbor, how about trade?

To Minoa:
we would also like to trade with you.

first off, I based that on somthing you wrote ;)

secondlly, it would have only takena Roman merchant ship about 14 days to go from Ostia to Alexandria-a Minoan vessal could not have been that far behind Rome naval wise, considering the Romans themselves were behind other powers, such as the ancient phonecians in many aspects naval wise (by many aspects, i refer mainlyl to navagation- Rome neve rmastered the art of navigation by the stars- the Phonecians did- I would think it slikelly that a people who relied even more on the sea for thire livelly hood, the minoans would have as well- includeing in the NES..

though that said, if you really dont thinks its possible, then ignore it, but I assure you, it was no Roman road which aided the etruscans getting to minoa ;)

You misunderstood me. The Etruscans didn't get to Minoa via. Roman roads. The Romans got to Etrusca via Roman Roads.

To Minoa:
From Rome:

Harboring Etruscans may seem like a humanitarian act, but they can return to their homes as Romans. What would them living here as Romans differ from them living in Minoa as Minoans? We mean them no harm.

To Sumer
From Persia

Sumer, we would highly appreciate it if we had a very temporary right of passage within your lands. You see, we need miltary in our settlements over the gulf, and with no real navy, it would be rather difficult to send them over the sea. Or you could transport our troops for us. We will trust that you will make no underhanded tricks should our troops be able to move to our settlements through your coastline, and we hope you will trust us as well.:) If you require something for one of these deals to pass, please say so and I shall do the best I can to work out a deal suitable for both of us.:)

From Sumer
To Persia

We will allow you to cross our lands in exchange for one economy level sometime over the next several turns.

From Persia
To Sumer

I shall give you one economy in 2 turns, and thank you very much, most ancient and noble Sumer!

Briton to Wales: What say you to combining forces for a while to take one these warlike people to the north as they are a threat to use both. You may keep any land your army conquers.

Briton Orders

increase army
continue wonder (turn 4/8)
expand north and attack the Pikts with all of army; start off by sneak attackin them.

To:Rome
From: Minoa

No. the etruscan came to our lands as refugees, and have made homes for themselves as equals, under no ones yoke of domination or conquest- indeed, we are sure that your own population of Etruscans would be willing to see Minoa conqoure your lands then to see their brethren go from the good lives that they have in Minoan lands to yoke of domination of Rome, who quashed thier culture, and substitued your own culture in place of it. No, if anything, Minoa shoudl be contemplateing the freedom of the remaining eturscans, not "giving" the Etruscans who fled here to the ones the fled from in the first place.

the Etruscans live as they please in Minoan lands, be that with thier origional culture, as Minoans, or some cross of the two.

@aaminion- I thought that you had wrote in one of the updates that Minoan warships has esxcorted or carried the eturscans to Minoan lands

Why the hell would Etruscans immigrate if they weren't threatened by Romans? That was my point in the timeline.

AA I got to leave... too many NES's I'm playing without even having an internet acceses at home...

OOC: Just noticed the update, lol. And do I have contact with other nearby Mid. East nations?

IC:

Story:

Babylon fell. Ashur was nearing completion. Shamshiadad died.

Naplash I had no regrets about that, though he never admitted. Now he was in power, and Shamshiadad, whom he dispised. He betrayed Babylon, which was one of his better moves - but he did not exploit the Sumerian weakness! Now was too late, for the time being.

Ashur. All of the city and most of the palace was rebuilt and majestic, already the Babylonian golden walls and gates were there. Many people moved from Nineveh and Babylon.

Expansion suffered during the war, now Naplash decided to change that. Warriors, veterans of the First Mesopatamian War, were ordered to grow the empire.

A new era begun for Assyria and Mesopatamia. An era of blood and glory.

Orders:

- Grow education.
- Have 100 men take all the remaining Fertile Crescent areas that were not taken by anyone (to the northwest).
- Expand with 50 men to the east from Nineveh (towards the Caspian Sea)
- Place Ashur (city circle) somewhere in the northwest of our territory within Mesopatamia.
- Move capital to Ashur.
- Change ruler name to Naplash I.
- Continue/finish the wonder (Ancient Capital of Ashur, ++army, ++economy, +education) (6/6)

Timeline:

2400 BC

Chinese forces in Wuwei are split in two, preventing an early end to the war. News from elsewhere are even more griveous - invasion of Liaotung stalemates, Wu prepare to invade, while Shu already did that, nearing Peking. Japanese defeat the Ronin on Shikoku, while their explorers meet the Choson in Korea. New leadership comes to power in Persia, and several small settlements on the other side of the Persian Gulf are established. Babylon falls, leading to the division of it's territory by Sumeria and Assyria. Hebrews settle in Imperiam, and ask for Imperians to destroy the few remaining differences in their religion. Hittites reach the Iron Age and develop chariotry to even greater extent, and thus they manage to expand even quicker, establishing a land border with Minoan colonies, encountering Armenia, and building a colony on the other side of the Black Sea. Minoans create the first triremes and build a colony of Carcheddon in Northern Africa, near Numidia. Romans establish full control over Central Italia, though to the north they encountered many barbarian tribes. Crusaders continue to defeat the previously dominant Gaelic tribe, while encountering lesser, more peaceful ones nearby. English continue northward expansion and encounter war-like Picts. Russians make great advance in expansion everywhere, furthermore Novgorod merges with them. The only threat is that the Balts have now formed their own state - Greater Baltica.

**SECRET**
To New Peaceful Barbarian Tribes
From: The Crusaders of the Cross

I suggest we all band together as one country to defeat the land hungry Romans so we can live in peace and tranquility in our own lands. The Gauls pose to much of a threat so I will soon eradicate them.

Unsecret
Orders:
Increase Economy
finish off the Gauls
