Wei Dynasty
Xu Chang, Capital of the Wei, Tok Kingdom
Cao Bu, High Lord over the Wei Clans, Rightful Emperor of Tok was a tall, aged man, in Earthen years he would be around 58, powerful despite his age, an intimidating figure. Cao Bu is not an evil man, related to the old Imperial family, he only wishes to restore Tok under his rule, for he felt the old rulers ignored his advice and left open the Tok flank to the enemy, and led the nation to ruination.
His dogged determination to unify the empire made him immensly popular amongst the Warlords.
Cao Bu spent most of his time with his family in the Xu Chang Palace, for he felt he was much too old to be "gallavanting" around the nation, and generally left the control of the army to his sons Cao Dian, Cao Cao, and Cao Ren.
Cao Dian was the oldest of his sons, an intelligent if not brilliant man, he was of average stature, and was not the most intimidating of men nor the most imaginative of generals, he was however a jovial man, friendly to everyone he meets unless they give him a reason not to like them. He was to become Toks ambassador to Galal once the Kingdom was reunified.
Cao Ren was the second of Cao Bu's sons, the tallest of the brothers, and physically strongest, he is a Warlord General through and through, trained by the one and only Sima Yi, Toks former military strategist, Sima Yi is now dead, killed in a Wei-Shu battle. Cao Ren, is not particularily intelligent, but what he lacks in knowledge he makes up for in cleverness so that Cao Bu had named him to be the Grand Commander of the Tok army once the Kingdom is reunified.
Cao Cao, the youngest of the sons, tall and strong, the most physically pleasing to look at, as well as extremely charismatic, making him the most popular of the Cao sons, he is also the most intelligent and clever of the sons. Cao Bu had decided that his youngest son would be his successor.
"Father me must end this cease fire" Cao Cao says to Cao Bu
"I know Cao Cao, but as long as the Wu and Shu are aligned we can not defeat them" Cao Bu replies, "And the Tenile have decided to through their support behind Zhuge Liao for the throne"
"Can we not seek outside allies to offset the balance in our favour?" Asks Cao Dian, "We need battle soon, Cao Ren is itching to fight, he has been getting agitated lately"
"I have not!" Cao Ren immediately denies, fall into his elder brothers trap, elliciting a laugh from Cao Dian. Cao Ren glares at him, then bursts into laughter himself.
"Let us send out a call to the people my Lord" Says Cao Cao, as he rolls his eyes at his brothers, "They will surely join us to face the Wu-Shu alliance, for we hold the mandate of heaven"
That prompts Cao Bu to reach down the front of his robe, at his neck, to pull free a pendant hanging from a chain.
The pendant swings as he holds it up for all to see, it is embedded with the finest jewels available in the Kingdom. It is the Imperial Seal, the sign of the Mandate of heaven, and the strength from which the Wei derived their power.
"The Imperial Seal" Cao Bu looks at it, "This is supposed to signify the Emperor, and i hold it therefore I should be Emperor"
"Yes you should father" Says Cao Dian, "Those upstarts the Wu and Shu deny you your throne in Hang Zhong"
Cao Bu takes the Imperial Seal off his neck and places it into Cao Caos hand.
"My heir" He smiles, "Take the seal and go to every town and village within Wei territory, call for all able men and women to join the army. Cao Dian, Cao Ren...Go with him"
The three sons nod together. And turn and leave the room.
Wu Empire
Port of Xia Koa, Capital of Wu, Tok Kingdom
The city port of Xia Koa, is a bustling metropolis in the West of Tok, on the coast of the Great Northern Ocean, Panthalassa.
It was the reason Wu held hegemony over the navy, for Xia Koa, before the civil war, was Toks major sea port.
Sun Quan had made the city his capital a few years previously, shortly after he allied with Zhuge Liao of the Shu.
Sun Quan was a young man, in earthen years he would be around 28, he was a tall handsome man, who was both intelligent and clever. He had brought many men under his banner for the purpose of mutual defense.
He had a younger sister, Sun Li, who was only 18, and was already showing promise as a formidable warrior.
"Brother?" Sun Li inquires of her brother as he paces the floors within the Xia Koa Palace, "What is the matter?"
"It is my alliance with the Shu" He frowns, "I do not believe Zhuge Liao to be the rightful Emperor, he is necessary to defend ourselves from the Wei"
"If Zhuge Liao isnt Emperor then who is?" She asks
"I do not know" Sun Quan shakes his head, "I fear that one day I may have to war with Zhuge Liao"
"What do you mean?" Sun Li tries to hide her horror at the thought
"Well the Wei will fall to the Wu-Shu alliance and then it will be us against the Shu" He frowns again, "Zhuge Liao is my friend and I do not like the thought of fighting him but naturally he will ask me to support his acension and I will not, making war a necessity"
"I understand" Sun Li frowns
Shu Dynasty
ChengDu, Capital of the Shu, Tok Kingdom
Zhuge Liao, and his cousin Liu Bei, rule over the Shu Dynasty.
Zhuge Liao assumed defacto rulership, and Liu Bei directing Shu's armies.
Zhuge Liao, a very young but shrewd Warlord, only 19 years old, is not the tallest, strongest nor best looking man around, in fact some would say he was short, weak, and nondescript.
Of course he is not weak, but he is niether tall nor homely, though he relies greatly on the strength and charisma of his cousin Liu Bei, is a powerful Warlord, and an accomplished scholar.
Liu Bei, Zhuge Liaos cousin, a man similar to Cao Cao in that he is handsome, clever and charismatic. He is one of the reasons that Shu survived so long against a Wei onslaught before the alliance with Wu. He was also the one who convinced Sun Quan to aid his cousin. He is currently his younger cousins heir.
"We have the support of the Tenile cousin" Liu Bei grins widely at Zhuge Liao, "If this goes on, we shall soon rule over the Tok Kingdom, you will be Emperor"
"We have to recruit more troops my cousin" Zhuge Liao states, "We have lost many men in our battles with Wei"
"Yes" Liu Bei nods, "I think with the support of outside forces we can afford to feed, and hire troops"
"Good..."
OOC: Azale, why support the Shu? If I may ask? Just out of curiousity.
