Stream June 6

finally we will see the unit abilities ( i mean this was in civ4-5 already and they had good solutions )
i love the UI improvements ( nearly all the UI mods I use are there ),
the faith gain for GPP that can no longer earn a GP is a great idea ,
stopping rockbands with policy card is for single player i assume ,
diplomatic victory will need a lot of attention by players now ( not sure if i like that you can actually time your wonder(s) and a world congress resolution to simply get 50% in one turn ),
if they adjust Hansa to the same level of production difference ( percentage wise ) against normal IZ then germany will become banned in MP and easy mode for SP, if they dont adjust it then germany is a civ without bonuses?
need to see that list of pantheons , but early game settler bonus is huge ( snowballing is real and i hope they checked this one ) , also now with so many extra culture faith production bonus pantheons everyone will get something out of it and also the go to pantheons will change for sure.

Rebalanced pantheons, new IZ adjacency bonuses and new Battering Ram/Siege Tower mechanics are all changes that I have contemplated before and are now welcomed.

However...
Goddess of the Harvest could simply have been severely nerfed without being completely removed, as it is one of the few pantheons that provides lump amounts of faith instead of faith per turn.
God of Craftsmen: I think it goes against the purpose of a pantheon that should mainly help you in the early game when much of its value is unknown when it is taken (unrevealed strategic resources). However, they alleviated this problem a bit making it provide its bonus to horses also which are revealed quite early.

Hey everybody!

I wanted to provide answers for a few of your questions, some of which I meant to say on the stream today but there was just so much that I didn't hit it all!

The Mine, Lumber Mill, and Quarry all give the same amount of production through their tech tree buffs, regardless of terrain. Therefore any resource, feature (ie Woods), or Hill just increases that yield even further—a Lumber Mill in Woods on a Hill is 1 more production yield than a Mine on a Hill with no Woods.

The Hansa will receive the same District adjacencies that the Industrial Zone gets (+2 for Aqueduct, Canal, and Dam). It is otherwise unchanged. Note that the standard IZ gets a +1 bonus from adjacent Strategic Resources only, while the Hansa is all Resources.

After Great Prophets are gone, Holy Sites give even more Faith thanks to the new GPP conversion.

Religious Settlements is the Pantheon that gives a Settler.

Thanks for watching today, for your excitement about the patch, and for playing the game!

Wow awesome additions from Carl there! Thanks! Now if only we could get the patch ;)

Can't wait to see the full changelist. Hopefully the patch is out soon, as definitely looks exciting enough to hop back into. I haven't made it through a Canada game yet - I think there's finally enough there for them to give them a shot.

Thanks for posting here. Just wanna get in one quick, if you can tell some graphics guy to remove that green ring around national parks.

Man.. Firaxis... You are making it harder and harder to find anything to complain about ;-) great work (again) with this patch and looking forward to the future of civ6.

Now if you make desertification (plains to desert etc) happen inland to balance coastal flooding my dream would come true. Oh and give me some free time to actually enjoy civ6 :-P

And how would you indicate it when you don’t have a particular lense selected?
What alternative would you prefer, that would be applicable for the general player?

Thanks for your clarifications Carl @charrison ! That's awesome!
Can you just tell us something about factories as well? Do they get any changes?

You know that fence around every national park? Yeah, I think that fence indicates the natinal park pretty well.

Battering ram not effective against medieval and renaissance walls, upgraded to seige tower, which is not effective against renaissance walls.

Hope AI uses them correctly.

This sounds like a lot of really fun changes. I am especially happy that we finally have a way to defend our territory against Rock Bands through the use of a policy card.

There is little doubt that they listen. This board should find a way to consolidate our ideas and rank them! Give Firaxis a nice sticky post with our suggestions that everyone feels are most needed.

That's risky. Many of the players here are hardcore players who utilize tactics and strategies I doubt casual players even know exist. Catering too much to this crowd might be detrimental to the experience for newer and more laid back players.
