As some of you may have heard, there is an internet blog by Christian Lander called Stuff white people like.

The blog is very successful, with over 57 MILLION blog hits. You can find the blog yourself here. He's even been interviewed on popular shows such as Good morning America and Connon O Brian (before he was in charge of the Tonight Show). His blog was so successful that he got a book deal and in the book(which I own) in has some stuff the blog does not.

Anyway, I'm not trying to offend anyone with this thread. The blog is not really about all white people, but rather a certain sub-group. The sub-group is upper-middle class city dwelling-liberal white people. I'm not really the kind of white person he's talking about in some ways but in other ways I am.

You can even see him being interviewed by CNN here.

I'm a white guy and one thing I've learned in the Philippines is that Asians almost never complain about stuff. I hear a complaint so seldom that if I go to an expat party (white people) its shocking to listen to the endless complaints. So I'd say white people love to complain.

Hmmm, I guess I'm complaining about that, go figure.

I remember leafing through his book at the bookstore and laughing my ass off. Good stuff.

I really doubt anybody here hasn't heard of What White People Like.

Also, let me point out here that "white people" means "young adult Bicoastal urban middle-to-upper-class liberal/left wing white people". He sure ain't talking about folks from Wyoming.

His site is racist.

Right, they're the wrong kind of white people.

I do actually thoroughly enjoy expensive sandwiches and being one of the first white people to enjoy a new ethnic restaurant.

Mayonnaise and lots of it. I think that is the overriding one that ties us all together, regardless of location or income.

I think there was a thread on this like a year or two ago. Vaguely recalling Downtown started it. :)

I like lite Mayo and tuna, myself. I prefer white sneakers, but I'll buy all black ones if they're better/cheaper. In fact, I really like saving money/getting bang for buck.

I do have jungle fever occasionally though. ;)

Once, my computer stopped working. The PSU died. So I put some mayonnaise on it. It still wasn't working, but it was okay. Mayonnaise makes everything better.

i think he should have added talking about what country you came from. where i live its common to hear white people talking about their proud irish/english/scottics/italian/greece ancestors. :)

Old stuff. Also, the stuff on there is very stereotypical. Bland, boring website.

The hell are you talking about? None of the stuff he says are traditional stereotypes.
