Subdued Animals in C2C discussions

After much thinking it should be

North America | Europe/North Africa/Middle East | Asia
South America | Rest of Africa | Oceania

Correct as the Equator is in Kenya. About a quarter in to Africa, below the Sahara desert.

I spent some time making my SEM+ and LEM maps reflect this.

However for random maps I thought it would be a bit more general in placement.

It would fix some of the spawn problems

I had started to make my own spawn files, specifically for my maps. Then I became involved with the changes made when animals could enter your territory.

So for now that is on hold, until I can play a few games on random maps.
Soon, but not yet.

Asia actually starts to the right of Russia so Europe should include the Middle East at least. There have been people complaining about lions in Asia. With the Middle East in Asia then lions should be in Asia but with it included in Europe then there is less of a problem since lions are said to have roamed Europe up until the Romans used them all in their entertainment. There are a couple of other animals which would benefit from the change.

With my Earth maps and spawning, I have used the Mediteranean Sea as the split line. May not be historically accurate - but you need a base line. So not most of the Middle East.

As for Russia and Asia, land wise I agree - but I consider (politically - as they did not aggressively oppose rule) that part of Northern Asia is Russian.

So Asia includes Eastern Russia in the North and then China and below.

As for lions - I will have to check my 8 month old spawn files. To see where I placed them.
But the Romans would surely have transported them from Africa.

Hi. Can I activate this option (teleport) after start of the game? Thanks for answer.
You should be able to. I'm not 100% sure its safe but I don't see why it wouldn't be. You can do so through worldbuilder.

Lions roam in India nowadays, so Asia w/o Middle East should be a habitat for them too (except for jungles and tundra).

So why do I get both the "slaughter" bonus of food and hammers and also the other options if it is subdued like settle a herd, etc?

Because the slaughter comes from the animal(s) you killed while the subdued animals are generally young that were found and taken in to be raised and trained in captivity.

@DH and others

Thanks for adding all those animals I request years ago. its so good to see in game. Who is in charge of units now? Sparth? Toffer? Someone else?

I still have a bunch of Zoo Tycoon 2 animal models. If i can figure out how i use to convert them could new animals be added?

EDIT: Here are ones from before that did not get in yet ...

The only animal I kinda miss in the game is the Swan. An exceptionally beautiful bird that has lots of stories and songs dedicated to it.

A preview of some of the models I have. Not sure how many work. But they look nice. All are from ZT2 mods.

Also the Alligator would be a replacement for the non-Chinese alligator since they look the same.

I may have some suggestions to propose.

My first one are concerning a (much lesser know) elephant, that humans have hunted in the Pleistocene: the Palaeloxodons (the european one was still alives at the new start date, at the ones in Asia survived, until 24,00 years ago.).
Here their wiki pages:

I don't know how you transfer the models from ZT2, but it have an model, that could be used for.

My second suggestion are concerning the Woolly Rhinoceros (not the Elasmotherium). I know that it was already included in ZT2 (in his last expansion) but I always find the model used, to not be realist. Instead, I propose a more realistic one, that could be used instead:

In the UK, they all belong to the Queen/King. Killing one unlawfully, should under ancient law (Treason), results in the death penalty. But I doubt it would be applied now.

As an animal lover, I think it should be.

It has been proved over and over again, that people who start off by killing animals. Then go on to kiill humans.

Just my point of view.

Well the forum are quiet today, so I will give it more live.

@Hydromancerx
I knows, that you prevoyed to add Columbian Mammoth, to the game, but do it will appear on Elephant ressource (because they lived near Central America), or on the Mammoth ones?
