Okay, I finally finished my turns... Here we go.
NotesPercentages at 49 and 62 for %'s.
We have no settlers. Need them for Viking Stronghold, ie launching point.
The plan: Cavs and settler to start beachhead. Hwachas. We should be able to move troops quickly, especially with rails in place.
Plan to settle stronghold about 5 turns in. Thinking about taking out Carthage in the mean time as they should fall quickly.
[0] 1570AD
Organize troops to get ready for Vikes. Foolishly move a cav from Hareid into Carthage to investigate. Pull up right next to a Beserk. Ooops.
IBT
Our cav falls to the Beserk. Two more appear.
We learn Combustion. Wang Kon wants Battleships! To learn that we must research Electricty sir. Wang Kon begrudgingly agrees.
Stavenger deposed. We lose a rifle there. Those scoundrels!
[1] 1575AD
clads bombard Stavenger. Our vet cav attacks and loses. Elite cavs go leader fishing. We win taking Stavenger back, but no leader.
Move workers off useless tasks to railroad our conquests.
Upgrade a couple galleons to transports. We cannot upgrade Frigates.
IBT
Carthage demands we move our troops off their hill. We move automatically exposing our troops to Beserks who obviously have a ROP with Carthage. We lose 1 cav. Carthage is really getting irritating...
[2] 1580AD
Clear a couple of beserks.
Upgrade several galleons and a couple ironclads.
A privateer takes out a Portuguese galleon and converts them...
IBT
Watch English sink a Viking galleon...
[3] 1585AD
England has Communism. We could trade for it and revolt, but we're strong enough to not need it at this time. Let's finish this puppy.
Time for the great landing on hill across from Sariwon...
19 cavs, 15 Hwachas, 7 rifles, 1 settler. We'll have to withstand a few rounds of attacks.
IBT
Our stack takes no hits...
[4] 1590AD
We found Namp'o on the Viking doorstep.
Our privateers take out a Portuguese galleon. Another sinks at the hand of a Port. carrack.
Destroyer attacks Viking galleon.
We ready the seige on Aarhus for next turn.
We rush a few libraries. We're at 50% and 62% for now.
We ready some troops to take on Carthage.
IBT
The Vikings attack our stack with 1 beserk. Um, that's one dead beserk.
Some beserks stream down from Carthage to help out.
[5] 1595AD
Naval bombardment at Aarhus. Looks like 3 rifles. Send in the Hwachas... they clear out two rifles. Now to leader fish... Aarhus is ours. We suffer 0 losses. There is a rax and harbor here.
We rush a rax in Namp'o. Sell harbor and rax in Aarhus and abandon. We'll settle our own cities here.
Oh yeah. We declare on Carthage and land some Cavs and rifles outside of Rusicade.
IBT
Redo our alliance with the Brits, give them ironclads and we get 64gpt.
Vikings send Beserks north away from their main cities through Carthage. I guess they are going for the weaker stack even though they are in trouble at home.
[6] 1600AD
Rusicade falls. Not one improvement in the joint. Oea falls, we sink the ships inside. We get a nice harbor.
We clear a couple of Beserks and a Carthage longbow away from Hareid.
We're at 51 and 64%.
We naval bombard the city of Carthage down (Viking city). Send some cavs in... take out a couple damaged rifles and a couple damaged Beserks. Carthage is ours. We'll hold on for a turn (I don't believe it will flip for 1), but we'll abandon/replace next turn.
Renew English export deal, dyes and wines for 37gpt + 13 gold. A bit more than we were getting.
IBT
Hah. The Dutch signed an alliance with England vs the Vikings.
Liz wants to renew our ROP. Okay. The wines from Carthage set off We Love the King day all over.
[7] 1605AD
Our cavs take the Carthage city of Sabratha. We also take the Viking city of Vitoria just off our main shores.
We approach Stockholm to find it defended by a damaged reg rifle. Aah, forget about the Hwachas. Cavs go in, we lose our first cav in quite a while. Two damaged rifles are taken out and Stockholm is ours! The English bombardment is helping out a bit.
Attack on Leptis Magna and we finally get a leader, Yi Song-gye. Can we say Cav Army? One more attack and Leptis Magna is ours! We form an army in Hareid to load up next turn.
Decide to keep Carthage for whatever reason.
IBT
England and the Vikings strike peace. Stinkin' Brits. Portugal and Viking sign Embargo against us.
[8] 1610AD
Now at 55% and 66%.
We clear a scary Cathaginian longbow. Our army marches in and takes Hippo. Wang Kan is pleased the harbor is still in tact.
In the north a cav attack a Numidian at Cadiz and loses! His death is avenged and Cadiz is ours.
The Heroic Epic is started in Taejon due in 4.
Cavs move in to bombarded Leptis Minor and clear out the Carthage scoundrels. Only Utica is left of their main cities.
With full strength rifles in Copenhagen still left after bombardment, we pull back for the moment until we can get Hwachas in.
We settle Cheju toward Copenhagen to help troop movement.
IBT
Amusingly the last Dutch Frigate attacks our privateer and sinks itself. And we enslave it! Hah.
1 Beserk attacks our cav stack.
[9] 1615AD
Seige of Utica: Army attacks, takes out two Numidians. Elite Cav takes out another and another leader, Chu-Mong, is born. Chu-Mong heads to Leptis Minor to become another army. Our new army continues the attack on Utica. Utica is ours and Carthage is down to two cities in the tundra up north, Cirta and Hadrumetum.
We bombard Copenhagen again which is now size 8 (dropping 1 per turn - used to be size 13). We attack next turn as we have some Hwachas in range. Our armys should head south to help out.
More cavs shuttled over.
Percentages: 58% and 69%
IBT
Beserks attack our stack, taking out two rifles, but only 3 attacked. A few expansions, resistance ending in Carthage towns... Looking good.
Border expansion took the English horse colony. Nice.
[10] 1620AD
Percentages: 59% and 69% after expansions.
Attack on Carthage city of Cirta: Hah, only one Numidian and Cirta is ours. Carthage is OCC now on same island as Dutch. Loading small group of troops to take on Hadrumetum and hopefully Dutch city as well.
Aargh, there are still workers auto-clearing jungles on the mainland. We don't need those jungles cleared. Stop as soon as can and send them overseas to rail.
Worker stacks railroad to move armies quickly.

Naval bombardment of Copenhagen commences... and succeeds reasonably well. Hwachas next, redline all rifles AND kill two of them.
As a side diversion, I send a Detroyer to bombard a Carthage Caravel. A frigate misses and our newly aquired Dutch Privateer... captures and enslaves it.

Aah, now I know why those English Man-O-Wars are still patrolling. They are pirate hunting! I dock the privateers in Valencia.
Okay, let's proceed with the attack on Copenhagen. Send in the cavalry... stinking redlined rifle wins and promotes. Oooh, too bad. The promotion is cancelled as the rifle falls. Only beserks left... er, beserk, singular. Take that back, Copenhagen is ours! And hey, it contains Shakespears Theatre. Contains Sistines too. Yeah, I don't think we'll be keeping this. Move in my settler. Sell rax. If only you could sell wonders. We abandon Copenhagen, and found SpikeIt's Pub on the very spot. It starts on a rax to rush next turn.
Plan is to next take out Trondheim and then the Viking tundra towns.
Leptis Magna gets a library rush.
Elite cav takes out a beserk.
Moving settler toward forest just south of our army there for another town in Viking lands. Will fill in a spot and provide quicker troop transport.
Left transport off of Cirta to load up next turn. I rested the troops this turn to get back a couple HPs.
Afterthoughts:This one is about over. It may not last the 10 turns. In case the Viking cities don't give us our percentages, move excess transports (we have many) onto other side of Scandinavia for an attack at Portugal or the Brits to finish this up if needed. Us the stacks of 6 workers each in Scandinavia to railroad down to save us movement for our rifles and Hwachas as needed. A number of cities are due for culture expansion. Continue to rush libraries when it makes sense.
Oh yeah, try and get the save before we win. When this saga is over, this needs to find its way into my HOF.
One last pretty picture:
