Suggestions and Requests

Awesome, thanks!

Please consider buffing the Kongolese UB, it is quite possibly the weakest in the entire game given that it only gives a bonus of 2 commerce in a single city anywhere near where they are supposed to settle and only 3 cotton resources exist in Africa. Consider having something like reduced cost also for the building.

I already have something in mind for Congo.

New update: changes for unit civilopedia pages
- removed promotions panel
- new panel for unique unit replacements: base units show unique units, unique units show base unit (removed text links to replacements)
- new panel for unit upgrades: displays all possible upgrades for a unit

You could do something similar for buildings.

I didn't check if there's space ... I mostly did it here because I needed to make space for upgrades and the opportunity presented itself.

Encourage Russia to settle Novgorod instead of Sankt-Peterburg. The city itsself is a good spot. Sankt-Peterburg can be settled later on in renaiscance. Novgorod's culture can make room for it.

I'd rather set some swamps in the Leningrad area that should disappear shortly before 18th century. Swamps should also be in south Belarus area https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Polesia. This would have several effects:
1) It could slow down any invasion from Europe to Russia
2) European invaders should follow three passages: a southern one to Kiev, a central one to Moscow and a northern one to Leningrad/Novgorod
3) Maybe it would encourage an initial division of Russian territory into multiple and divided historical kingdoms: Republic of Novgorod, Grand Duchy of Moscow, Kievan Rus.

You can place it at the same place as you did for units, right below the art screen.

Isn't there anything currently?

Nothing really. The effects panels stretches the whole page. But most of it is unused anyway.

While playing Canada I had the Scandinavians settle Birka in Labrador which seems to be problematic to me, perhaps 1700 start Scandinavia shouldn't have that in their settle area?

But what else to put there then? If the width of the effects box is reduced we get two "rows" for button lists.

O wait, that's true. Buildings don't upgrade.

Only one row of buttons (the UB replacements) will look weird indeed. Then we'd better keep the "replaced by" text as it is.

I suggested the idea because I like it if the units and buildings page have the same layout.

Yeah, it'd be nice, but I don't know how to make that happen (and they weren't previously either).

Looks awkward imo.

Additional effect for trading company (the corporation):

Enables land mercenaries under mercantilism.

So the human players instead of recieving an army, they should buy it. AI can benefit also.

Is there any way to encourage 3000 BC England to pay more attention to Celtic Dublin? Even if it stay empty English never try to capture it, or declare a war on Celts. Perhaps Scotland could start Celtic too, and initial conquest would spill over Ireland relatively early, especially given the fact that England starts with Galleys. Current situations feels double uncomfortable considering the fact that England never had Scotland from the start, like suggested by the mod, actually England never been able to capture Scotland, while as early as in 1171 English king pronounced himself Lord of Ireland.

Sometimes I see Celtic Dublin even on 3000 BC starts as America!

It's the naval invasion problem.
