That depends on what is revealed to me in this thread. Should I find that I like how the site is nowadays, I shall stay and bequeath my hilarity on OT.

MobBoss comes here less often. We got ourselves some new crazies too that are endemic to Ukraine-related threads.
^Mobboss seems to have left OT (unless there's some DL of his).
The OT is moderated far more loosely now (apart from - in theory - the RD threads, which supposedly are moderated like in your time all threads were).
It has to be noted that not many new people joined since you left. Some older posters left as well, or were permabanned due to being trolling baboons

The opportunities to troll have diminished due to lack of quality targets.

Fewer debates on topics I am interested in (international relations, EU, global issues), more talk on trivial/obscure nonsense (90% related to US 'politics'). Religion-related debates also seem to have ebbed.

Someone update me on the last...3 years.
Implying US politics doesn't have a big effect on international relations. It doesn't happen in a vacuum.
Anyways, as for the OP, nothing really out of the ordinary. Still active, more new faces, less old faces, etc.
Only real thing of note is that the War of Chamber Aggression was ended, and the union restored in the OT. A great victory indeed.

Yeah I saw that and didn't like it. Now the other art, sports etc forums shoukld be annexed too
The My Little Pony Cavalry, Tom Petty Officers, and Draw and Quarter Your Own Story Brigade are leading the charge to fight of any annexations.
Not to my knowledge, but the Petty issue is still brought up to justify leaving A&E alone.

First of all, welcome back. Nice to see one of the true characters back. For personal reasons I haven't been around so much, but here is my impression, for what that is worth.
- Some from the old guard left or are only here sporadically. They have not been replaced.
- On the contrary the place has become a bit more studentesque. This is not intended to be positive.
- It is, however, still basically a liberal echo chamber (with a pink toy poodle "communist" thrown in) with a few dissenting voices about whom you can basically say whatever you want.
- They tried to split this section in two, but it didn't take long before things were back to normal again.
