For those of us in the northern hemisphere August is probably prime holiday time.

Are you getting away this year?

My wife and I have a very small baby so we won't be able to go too far. We will probably spend a week with my wife's family as they live by a beach in an area popular with tourists. Her parents can look after the baby if we want to get out together. This might include a hill walk or something similar.

I haven't had a real holiday in years, and don't expect to get one this year, either.

My health prevents me from doing any travelling so I'll be staying cooped up at home as per usual.

I had a brief trip to Maine in June. May do another trip in October, time permitting.

I took a week off in June for my daughter's wedding. I might take an extra long weekend this month to visit my mother in Baltimore.

I expect most of us are looking forward to warpus' return from his summer holiday... :D

Thanks to Germany i have no money to go to holiday.

:\

Maybe (i hope) a stable salary will be agreed upon for me in the next days, so i might be able to use a few weekends in the end of August/start of September, but i doubt the time will be found.

It has ended.. :(
No long trips done.

When I was still in the US, I took my vacations in February or late January. It was easy to be given that time off, and any place I went to was not crowded. :D

I was at Lake Tahoe in California for a little bit last month and I was on Kauai for a few days in June.
