Gods & Kings is discussed in this Super Joystiq Podcast. From 19:00 onwards (to 26:30).

To be honest, it's not particularly informative. Nothing new. They talk about the basics of religion and espionage, though I'm not entirely sure everything said is really accurate (e.g. everyone that follows your religion gets all the bonuses?).

Is there any footage? Otherwise I'm skipping this.

There is no way Followers of your religion get the Founder and Pantheon belief, Enhancer and Follower, sure, maybe even the "Bonus" belief. but Founder and Pantheon, unlikely.

it depends on how they handle the pantheon. It could just be rolled into a 'follower' style belief, give that it's rarely powerful and somewhat terrain dependant.

Likely the Founder belief is the only one limited to the Founder. Some of the enhancer beliefs seem to be 'meta', so I doubt most of those are Founder only.

It has been stated that your pantheon will not spread outside of your borders.

Though this could be that the pantheon on its on won't spread, but once you've founded a religion does it form part of said religion and thus spread?

That's still possible.

Anyway, for the purpose of religion spreading, the pantheon is considered a separate religion from the one you found. If I recall correctly, this was shown in the PAX demo. When the cursor is over a city, a tooltip displays its believer makeup, with some citizens believing in the pantheon and some in the newly founded religion.

Hmm, looking at the belief list more closely...

Follower beliefs function entirely at the city level. They require followers in a city to take effect. This also means even your own cities would still need followers in order for them to gain the benefit of your Follower beliefs.

All examples of Founder beliefs thus far are entirely tied to the spreading of religion, and it can be presumed so are the remaining. These are clearly civ-level effects.

The effects of Enhancer beliefs seem to be civ-level.

Interestingly, the pantheon beliefs look like they can in theory function at the city-level, but the wording of the description reads like civ-level.

Pantheon - Terrain based (most of the beliefs center around your terrain, if not all)
Founder - This is how it affects your civilization with.
Follower - This affects your city's output, and enable some abilites (purchase with faith)
Enahcner - This affects your religion, because it modifies the way your religion behaves (spreads further, cheaper missionaries/inquistiors etc)
Bonus - Not a group, seeing as there are 23 pantheon beliefs, you can pick ANY belief.

Not all pantheon beliefs are terrain-based. Some include science for trade routes and faster production on wonders.

You said "if not all." I was just making clear it wasn't all. And, no, trade routes are not terrain-based. They're map-based at most.
