Super Scenario Idea

Just looking at the units you posted I can see possibilities.

Techno Angel would make a great Silver Crusader. Perhaps on of the upgrades gives him airdrop capability?

Oriental Wizard gives you an ally/henchman similar to SWAT teams in Escape from Zombie Island, ie a unit that can kill a unit with bombard powers alone.

Super soldier is obviously DocEgo.

The Legionarius Americanus is obviously Cap. Stupid...er I meant Stupendous.

Ashaman makes a good sidekick for either of the heroes.

Perhaps one of the villains has the Sith for an evil version of an sidekick? Ashaman's evil twin?

You might want to add another civ. The alien invaders. or maybe just plain aliens. Still, aren't super heroes all about saving the world, often enough from aliens?

I think we need a X-Mobile tech. What Villain/Super Hero would be seen without his snazzy set of wheels?

Villains aren't really known for their sidekicks. Perhaps a chief Henchman? Gotten by researching Mercenaryship? Smoking mirror's Elite Soldier would do nicely:http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=113535

I like the idea of the goal being an "Awe" victory. Super Heroes get trophies and trophy halls, Villains get captives and shark tanks. and the Aliens(if included) either blast everything to bits, or repair the hyper-drive and head home(spaceship victory)

The third one down would make a good Stupendous. Bismark can do the authorties, Same as in Escape from Zombie Island, or alternatively you could you Gustav as a mayor: http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=130485

The Silver Crusader can be represented by so many leader heads it's pathetic.

I presume you're using the EFZI terrain? It'd be perfect for the scenario :)
Maybe for the evil civ's a wonder that produces some shape of form of mishapen muties- they seem to crop up as a clichè in many superhero storylines.

Keep up the suggestions everyone. I'm compiling a spreadsheet of all the techs and unit lines.

For the terrain I thought I would use Yoda Power's City Terrain - it's clean and colourful and not as dark as EFZI. Here's a screenie (ignore the city graphics I plan on using a "blank" city graphic so only the underlying terrain will show).

Those small islands off of the main island are for secret bases: Every diabolical villain should have a secret island hideout where he/she can base their nukes and hold the world's leaders to ransom for "1 billion, gagillion, fafillion, shabolubalu million illion yillion...dollars".

If the villians have their headquarters on an island, perhaps the hero has to seize a location and/or research something to get a boat?

Oh and if you have "leftover" terrain use it for the island. It has tropical. that's just a rule.

I really want to play this, please, please, KingArthur, make it low-end machine friendly..

Oh yes absolutely, the map will be standard size and only 6-8 civs. I reckon it will be as fast as EFZI - do you have probs running EFZI?

Or they could use their Teleportation Chamber or a Super Plane. :)

The island to the south east is basically jungle with a volcano. I guess these islands will have resources enabling you to build nukes of course they could give other cool stuff.

Nope, it's a boat. You escape from zombies by helicopter, you get to the evil island by boat, preferably smuggler's boat or yacht. It's a rule

perhaps the the place where the villians produce "pets" could give a corruption reduction. I don't think I've seen a movie without the traitorus henchman fed to something

About that museum, Mummies and super-heroes dont get along, perhaps a djinn?http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=117778
Same stats, just a flavor unit.

Perhaps one of the hero's jobs is to keep the villains from getting to the Greenhouse? something along the lines of EFZI's nasty egg sack, if not quite as easily taken.

Also include the obligatory anonymous henchmen for that "Stormtrooper" effect. You could use SoG's "Turk" unit (the one based on Rude from FF7). Give it horribly low stats (low enough to the pint that even the Spunky Kid can take a few out!) but make it ridiculously cheap to produce.

I know a kind unit maker. His names, err.... Platypus.. mmm, nope. Pluti.. Ploti.. Plotinus, yes that's the fellow. ;)

What do they look like? Can you post preview pics?

I've got to stop saying these things, haven't I?

I was thinking of Alphaman and Betaboy, who look rather like Mr Incredible and Dash. Problem is, I deleted them from my hard drive a while ago in order to save space, since I didn't anticipate using them for anything. And now I find that my Poser CD is FUBAR so I can't install them again. So there's not much I can do on that front until I get the CD replaced!

Boat's will definitely feature and I can use Supa's Shark units and all manner of marine creatures.

Good idea. It's could also double sacrifice too for more Awe Points.

Ah, never saw that unit before, looks good.

 Yes that could feature once you've researched the "Growth Ray" tech allowing you take over the city with laser mounted giant slugs.

That's the best news ever. I will need a few archetypal heroes and villains to cover the sidekicks and wards as well as unique units for: Boss Goldtooth, Dr Ego, Capt Stupendous.

Each unit will need at least 2 attacks: 1 using punches or kicks and the other with an energy blast - this will allow us to handle unit upgrades. An airdrop animation would be nice for when you get the Super Jump upgrade. Also, if possible an alternate fortify animation that sees the unit go transparent to cover invisibility.

Anyway, I'll compile a list with short descriptors and you can pick and choose to do the ones you want. No pressure because I know you're busy with other stuff.

KingArthur,
This sounds like a fun, original concept. I've thought of doing some superhero type units before. Once you work out the unit lineups, let me know what you would like, and I'll try to help out.
