Super Scenario Idea

I hope you don't stop saying those things, otherwise EFZI would be short of a lot of units :)

Pity you don't have the models anymore they sound fun.

I've got to stop saying these things, haven't I?

I was thinking of Alphaman and Betaboy, who look rather like Mr Incredible and Dash. Problem is, I deleted them from my hard drive a while ago in order to save space, since I didn't anticipate using them for anything. And now I find that my Poser CD is FUBAR so I can't install them again. So there's not much I can do on that front until I get the CD replaced!
 
I just thought out the Super unit lines (partially at least). There will be 4 Archetypes: Bashers; Zoomers; Zappers and Psionics.

The Basher upgrades give you increased Attack, Defense, Hit Points and Collateral Damage. Their basic stats are 12/12/1

The Zapper upgrades give bombardment in various degrees of strength from non lethal to lethal and ability to create craters. Their basic stats are 7/7/1.

The Zoomer upgrades give ZOC, Blitz, Airdrop and Rebase. Their basic stats are 7/7/2.

The Psionic upgrades give Radar, Enslavement, See Invisible, Invisibility, Hidden Nationality. Their basic stats are 6/6/1

Each upgrade gives one extra ability. There are 4 upgrades for each archetype giving a total of 16 Super Power techs. The player can decide what archetypes they want first and how far to advance them - lots of strategies to go for! :confused:

Note, this upgrade chain is for sidekicks and Arch Henchmen.
Faction leaders will have their own upgrade chain including the Rhetoric and Leadership techs but they will appear as full formed Level 4s for their given archetypes eg. Captain Stupendous is a Level 4 Basher; The Silver Crusader is a Level 4 Zapper. I may expand the faction list to include 4 Archetypal villains and 4 archetypal heroes - depends how much work I want to give myself and others ;)

Here is another pic showing some of the villain's unit lines. Super heroes will need some compensating units to counter this so they will have Wards (upgradable Boy Wonders) as well as more hardware (planes, cars etc).

If anyone fancies a task can they look out suitable looking unit graphics for planes, cars and boats please?

Now I'm looking for someone to make some tech icons for the Super Power techs. They'd be very simple, just the name of the tech in comic style lettering with maybe some graphic effects like stars, explosions and lightning bolts. Any takers?

How do Special Guests work? :)

Good question because I haven't fully worked it out yet but here's my theoretical explanation.

Special Guests will be capturable units (0 defense) which you can upgrade on obtaining the "Special Guest Villain" tech (Heroes will probably have a similar tech: "Special Guest Star" tech). Santa, is probably going to be on that tundra island in the northwest corner of the map but if you get to him you can bring him over to Super City and cause Merry Havoc with him (once upgraded of course). Uvoodoo will be somewhere in Super City. I plan on having 2 separate factions to allow for capturable units: The Unaffiliated Heroes and Unaffiliated Villains.

Does that sound good?

[edit] actually, one new faction would suffice "Unaffiliated Supers". That way the capturable unit could be upgraded by both heroes and villains. These are supers who haven't decided which side of the fence they're on - neutrals if you will.

You could use Boulbougadol`s (sp?) Future infantry, you know, the Final Fantasy The Movie trooper for henchmen, and Muffin`s Chessman power armour for a super villain too! Just suggestions, in case you missed them :)

Both have paradrop animations :cool:
 
I've seen the Chessman but not other one: Booblegoodles (sp). So this could fill another upgrade in the unit line Advanced Foot Soldier kinda guy with futuristic weaponry and armour? - I like the idea.

That Santa Villain is actually called Anti-Santa because he's the evil version of Santa but maybe there could be 2 upgrades for him- one for the heroes and one for the villains. HoHoHo.
 
How does a Voodoo doll become good?

That's a deep and philosophical question that I could maybe answer after 8 more beers (of course you'd have to be in a similarly inebriated state for it to make sense). Think of it as an empty vessel waiting to be filled with a purpose. How does a voodoo doll become bad? Is it the voodoo doll that's bad or its creator?
