Yes, Charles, that was... how can I phrase this?

Intellectual. Very, very understanding of you… ;)

Eagerly awaiting the awesomeness of the update. ETA?

After much deliberation, the nations of the UIS and FUSEAS have come to an agreement to sign the "Coalition of Islamic States". A full military alliance. The treaty has been signed by the Prime Minister of the UIS today, and awaits signature from the FUSEAS.

From:UIS

The UIS and FUSEAS would also like to extend membership into our new alliance to you, and will overlook the armenia incident, should you decide that this is the course you wish to follow. We muslim brothers may bicker every once in a while, but at the end of the day, we are all brothers. We have decided to treat you as equals, by offering you this, and we would take it as an insult if you turned our gracious offer down.

The Federal Union of South East Asian States, agrees, while we are not Muslim in our entirety, we do however agree. In this world of conflict, sure friends and allies are our strength.

It's cool JTK. It's well worth the wait.

Chinese protestors in Japanese-held territory

CHINA FALLS Beijing, Russian Federation
The communist party leadership was dislodged earlier this month in Junan, where Russian forces cornered in on the remaining northern Chinese forces, bombarding and with hundreds of surface-to-surface missiles and conventional artillery. The 37th Air Army was quick to mop up the remaining Chinese fighters, and also zeroed in on the bombing of defensive structures and suspected leadership positions. The final assault was made up of parts of the 58th and Taman motor guards that drove into the heart of the peninsula, defeating first the crack Chinese airborne forces, and forcing the rest of the army to surrender. Casualties were relatively light due to the huge amount of support from artillery and the 37th Air, Russian forces suffering only a mechanized infantry and two regular infantry casualties. In the west, the Chinese 1st Armored is defeated by a combination of Kazakh and elements of the 74th.

In the south, Indian forces remained bogged down by the stronger of the remaining Chinese forces. As the civilian toll in Kunming mounts, the Chinese army pulls out of the city to take the fighting to the countryside. Here they are slaughtered by the much stronger, much more mechanized Indian forces. Despite this advantage, the Chinese hold on until the end of the month, seriously hampering the ability of the Indians to progress further into China. By the time the Chinese are finally destroyed, the Indians suffer a gunship, 2 infantry divisions, and an artillery battery, and their chances for expansion into the rest of China.

The Japanese, on the other hand, were in the best situation when the fall of China became emanate. With no formal Chinese forces in the vicinity, the Japanese only faced local militias and national guard units. Even so, Japan did face casualties as their armies conquered highly populated areas with large urban cities, a full 6 infantry divisions were destroyed. And to add to Japan’s good fortunes, the Chinese fleet, upon hearing the destruction of their party and country, surrendered to the Pacific Fleet.

The four victors of the war (Russia, Japan, India, and even the Pacific Union) have all enjoyed parades and popularity boost in their home countries, but the domestic situation in China is becoming grim. While protests and demonstrations against the new occupiers remain relatively peaceful, they are numerous and it seems like all it would take is a single spark to set off revolution. Most unrest stems from the regions under Japanese control, though Beijing and surrounding territories remain hostile to Russians as well.

SOUTH AFRICA BLUNDERS IN CONGO Pretoria, PRSA
South African forces surprised attacked the Democratic Republic of Congo, opening two different fronts as the Army of Botswana strikes directly at the capital, Kinshasa. The surprise attack allowed the South Africans to capture the capital without much of a fight, while the Army of Namibia struck northwards toward Kananaga. The war became problematic on this front as South African forces soon become bogged down in guerrilla warfare and are constantly ambushed on small jungle roads. Furthermore logistics are a nightmare in this terrain. After heavy casualties (3 infantry, 2 mech infantry, 1 gunship) the Army of Namibia was able to capture Kananaga, but now face a stream of opposition pouring out of Mbuji-Mayi. Meanwhile, the Army of Botswana is also coming under attack by Congolese forces, keeping it bundled up in Kinshasa (losses of 2 infantry). South African air cover remains a fiction as for some reason the air force is not utilized in this campaign.

Meanwhile South Africa makes landing in Madagascar, quickly capturing Mahajanga and pushing into the interior. Casualties are light, the Army of South Africa only losing two infantry so far in this war.

PACIFIC UNION FACES STORMS IN INVASION OF REUNION Canberra, Pacific Union
As the Pacific Union continues to expand, there is little the small island nations of the Pacific and Indian can do to counter the threat. However, a rare miss by Pacific Union meteorologists spelt doom for one mechanized infantry division in the invasion of Reunion as a heavy storm hit in the middle of the assault. The other invasion of Easter Island went off without a hitch.

UIS SHOWS OFF MOST POWERFUL AIR FORCE IN WORLD IN MAURITANIA Nouakchott, UIS
The remaining Mauritanian army is completely and utterly destroyed as the world’s most powerful air wing commences precision strikes and bombing runs on troop locations. The high power weapons and expert targeting skills of the pilots were able to complete their mission in just one try, relieving the army from having to engage once again. The last of Mauritania fell by the end of the month. With such a powerful air force, the UIS has the ability to project its influence over much of the rest of Saharan Africa, effectively destroying any influence Nigeria once had in these regions.

MEXICO REINFORCES FRONT, HOLDS THE LINE AGAINST THE USSA San Francisco, USSA
As reinforces roll up from Mexico City, the Mexican invasion of the USSA went from failure to promising. Last month the invasion was nearly a disaster, falling apart and mismanaged. But now, with new leadership and a new general, the Mexicans have turned around their failed campaign and have forced a stalemate with the USSA armies. Phoenix is the sight for extremely heavy fighting as the city is torn in two; the south side defended by the Mexican 54.A Motor Rifle Brigade and in the north is the combined strengths of the 1st Motorized, Armored, and Artillery divisions of the USSA. As door-to-door fighting rages on between the two foes, the sky is also torn in two as the Flying Aces try to gain air superiority from the 35TA Mexican air force. Casualties are extremely heavy on both sides, though it seems the USSA may win this war based solely on attrition. In Phoenix, Mexican losses include three infantry divisions, two mechanized divisions, a gunship squadron, and two fighter/bombers. The Americans loose roughly equal numbers, two infantry, two mechanized divisions, a gunship squadron, an artillery battery, and a fighter squadron.

Meanwhile the second front goes a little more in the USSA’s favor as air cover from the USSA carrier fleet is unchecked and aids greatly in the push to the border. The 82.A is heavily reinforced, though, and makes the USSA fight for every mile of land they “liberate.” The Battle for Los Angeles was one of the bloodiest affairs of the war, where the Mexicans loose two infantry, two mechanized infantry, and two armored divisions, while the USSA loses two infantry, one mechanized infantry, and one armored division.

In the Caribbean the Atlantic fleet once again engages the 5TA flotilla, now reinforced with a brand new carrier. Due to sheer numbers of planes, the USSA was able to force a Mexican retreat back to the Yucatan, sinking the last Mexican destroyer on the way. The Mexican fleet now remains very vulnerable, having only two nuclear submarines to protect the supercarrier with.

STORIES OF ATROCITIES ARISE AS TURKS OCCUPY ARMENIA Yerevan, Occupied Armenia
Fueled with the support of the EU and the Russian Federation, the Turkish army pushed further into Armenia this month, engaging the Armenian army as they return from Azerbaijan and soundly defeating it near the supply depot city of Sot’k. As the Turkish army remains in Armenia to fill the roll of the now-defunct Armenian army, stories of atrocities of Turkish soldiers brutalizing civilians, desecrating churches, and unnecessarily destroying property by numerous human rights organizations. The Turkish government and army deny any wrong-doing, and has issued a statement that it is inevitable that some destruction incurs from war, but that everything is being done possible to respect the rights of civilians.

Furthermore, protests in EU are staged to denounce the government’s support of Turkey, while supporters of Dar-al Islam in the UIS criticize their government for supporting the Christian Armenia over the Muslim Azerbaijan and Turkey. Russians call for the ending of violence and the return to stability in the Caucuses, claiming it is Russia’s duty to maintain this peace.

2ND NIGERIAN ARMY CREATED, EXPANDS EMPIRE IN TWO DIRECTIONS Conakry, Nigeria
The Nigerians finish up in Sierra Leone as soon as heavy reinforces arrive for the 1st Army. The Nigerian government, probably in reaction to the more militant tone the PRSA is taking with their invasion of Congo, has felt it necessary to go into massive debt in order to fund the growth of the 1st Army as well as the creation of and second army. Guinea is next on the target for the 1st Army, claiming two infantry divisions before the Nigerians were able to take the capital. The backcountry remains defiant to Nigerian rule. Meanwhile, the debut of the 2nd Army is the invasion of the Republic of Congo, first taking only a slight infantry loss with the capture of the Congo’s coastline, and then another loss with the capture of Brazzaville, the capital. Like Guinea, the backcountry remains defiant to Nigerian rule, and is where most of the Congolese army is mustered.

Great update Jason! makes the leaders of Japan very happy!

My brothers in arms may I congratulate you in this glorious victory! It is obvious that we together are a strong band of nations that can manage the unthinkable. Currently even though we bask in the sun of victory we have pressing matters that we must attend to, the current situation in mainland China with protests and the seemingly likely event of smaller revolts in the densely populated areas it is needed to act before it is too late. We must arrange new governments and laws that prohibit protesting and or other methods for dealing with this situation, and we the Empire of Japan find it suitable for us to join hands in this situation. Doing a China wide sweep and clean up of these so called protesters (in Japanese eye’s these protesters might as well be considered terrorists).

What say you to this project?

Jason, I was going to sweep that land cutting Zambia then to the center. And Army 3 was supposed to pincer in a sweeping movement.

Our support of Turkish actions was a mistake. You will withdraw from Armenia and allow for either Russia or the UIS to ensure that peace is kept there. Failure to do so is not advisable at this point.

We have withdrawn our support of Turkish actions. You will find no troops from the European Union supporting Turkey in its atrocities.

Good update, if somewhat predictable. :p

From the EULA
To the International Community

The Estados Unidos condemns the potential division of China under the new imperialist powers that are Russia, Japan, and India. Even the Europeans let China retain its independence, instead of turning it into another colony, and the only reason that these nations would be marginally better is that the EU has since moved on to the support of genocide, rather than just exploitation and oppression.

The proper solution would be to begin the creation of an independent and sovereign Chinese democracy, with limitations on its capability to wage an aggressive war. We trust that your leaders will choose this, when they consider how history will judge their actions today.

We agree with that sentiment which the EULA expresses. You have torn apart and gutted China, there is no need to crack down with steel and blood.

It is absolutely necessary to contain and uphold order in China, the moment we loose control of this situation China will surely fall into chaos and destruction. What needs to be done as said is to limit the extent of these protests, wether this would be a breach of human rights or not is not relevant. What is relevant is to keep the populations of china in a state of peace and productivity. If we let some Communist minorities take over the new three separate states of China surely the greater population would suffer more then under the rule of the Imperial powers.

You must agree that marshal law in these circumstances will give the most benefit to the people.

Perhaps not; our legacy of freedom and liberty has not desensitized us to this issue however. We do not believe illegalizing basic human rights makes you any better than the "evil Communists" you claim to be deposing. This simply proves to us that you imperialists are all alike, and you despise freedom. The humane thing would be to do as the EULA suggests - however as it stands we are no more inclined to bridge the gap between our people than before.
