The Russians overran defenses at the city of Urumqi, and have pushed further into Tibet.

What is it with you and Tibet, Jason? :p

more or less breaking the back of the Cote d’Ivoire’s army’s back.

No comment. ;)

A fun update. Looks like China is going to be easier than I thought.

To the Vietnamese
From FUSEAS (Federal Union of South East Asian States)

Puppet Regimes? We don't know what you’re talking about.

The FUSEAS has sitting members composed of Indonesia, former Malaysia, former Borneo, free and sovereign Laos, and the free and sovereign Philippines.

We are horrified at the terrorist attacks against the Philippine government, which killed so many members of the Congress, in a manifestation of anger against a perceived softening of anti-Vietnamese sentiment by that same body. Unanimously the much reduced government voted to join the FUSEAS which hopes to maintain good relations with Vietnam. The incorporation of the Philippines into FUSEAS should be welcomed by the Vietnamese government, the Union will provide a dampener against further Anti-Vietnamese outpourings, the Union is a staunch supporter of the rule of law and diplomacy between nation states.

Likewise the Laotian government in exile has voted unanimously for integration into the Union. The Union’s actions are to secure the nation against radicals, anarchists and other undesirables in line with the wishes of the people of Laos and of the government of that same nation.

Furthermore the Laotian and Pilipino people have not at any stage raised arms against their liberators from, dare we say it, your Imperialist policies! No resistance has been endangered against our government, other than from the treasonous actions against the free and sovereign government of the Philippines; your own soldiers really must be removed for the safety of the Union.

We are willing to come to a compromise, to remove this dangerous train of logic from the Vietnamese government, we are sure our Pacific Union and Islamic Union friends will likewise agree that allowing a foreign government to interfere in the internal affairs of a multinational Union, on the basis of “puppetry” is really quite a bad precedent to set!

Great update Jason! Glad to see some progress :)

Actually, we didn't impose Imperialistic policies. In case you haven't noticed, we agreed to liberate the Laotians and we left the Philipines.

Orange: Jason, is this true?

Premier Freeman was getting ready to deliver his speech, a speech which the nation had been hinging on all week. Now was the time the Premier was to address the nation on the state of affairs and the affairs of the state, regarding all which had happened in the past two months. That a speech hadn't been delivered earlier was cogitated on but many realized that the Premier likely had important duties to attend to, being the Commander-in-Chief of the People's Armed Forces. At any rate, the nation despaired as the Mexicans pushed further and further into America. However given the censored nature of the news, the full understanding of what was going on had not dawned upon the people yet.

It would presently. Premier Freeman looked at his staff as he adjusted his tie - blue, the national color of the nation, as was the shade of his suit - and prepared himself mentally for the task of speaking to the people. Not half a year ago he was a middle-level technocrat, now he was leader of what people were calling the "inheritor to the Soviet Union." With China in the East falling slowly to the might of the "imperialist invaders," many realized that the USSA would be left as the sole Communist power in a world surrounded by hostile powers. No doubt this was due in part to the USSA's violent rhetoric - and now the price was being paid as Mexican troops marched in Los Angeles.

"Thirty minutes comrade Presiden- er, Premier." The culture of America was so ingrained in the people. Maybe now was a time for a change. Freeman had been preparing for this all week. His speech, which was to be televised, would also be treated as diplomatic correspondence with all the nations of the world. He would change things, make amends. No matter the cost, he would save-

"Five, four, three, two, one."

To: The nations of the world
From: The United Socialist States of America

Comrades near and abroad, far and wide, let me speak to you directly on what is going on in this great nation of the USSA. Two months ago we were invaded by a hostile enemy bent on destroying our socialist paradise. In these two months they have made great forays into our land and much has happened. Not least among these is the gradual fall of the nation of China to its neighbors and the recent isolating of the USSA from all foreign affairs.

This is not without reason, however, and it has been largely self-imposed. Our nation has been guilty of some terrible diplomatic gaffes and our rhetoric has been unfriendly and alienating. About this we apologize for our actions and would like to rescind our previously violent stance against such nations as the Union of Islamic States, the Republic of the Pampas, India, and even the Pacific Union. One of the central tenets of communism is internationalism and our actions have hardly been internationally minded. Again, we apologize sincerely, and will work in the future towards bettering our relations with other nations in the world of states.

Regardless the affair with Mexico is very serious. Naturally we can accept no compromise in this war and we expect the nations of the world to understand that we will exact a harsh and damning revenge upon Mexico for what they have done. Afterwards, however, I, Comrade Premier John Freeman, will do everything in my power to ensure peace reigns in this hemisphere. Good night, America.

Mexico City, Mexico

"...not without reason, however, and it has been largely self-imposed. Our nation has been guilty of some terrible diplomatic gaffes and our rhetoric has..."

Jesus Martinez could not believe what he was hearing. It was unbelievable. Premier Freeman of the USSA was in the middle of his speech when Miguel walked into the T.V room, looking to speak to his brother, the tyrant of Mexico. "Shh! Callate, hermano! Let me listen to this a second, will you?" snapped Jesus, without pulling his gaze away from the television. Premier Freeman, dressed in a suit that matched his blue tie (which Jesus knew, as all despots did, that it was all a false image, as red was truly the color to represent the characteristics of the USSA), was in the middle of his speech, yet had already delivered such lines as Mexico being "bent on the destruction of our socialist paradise," and "recent isolating of the USSA from all foreign affairs."
At first, Jesus found it quite amusing, as, in fact, Cuba was more of a socialist paradise then the USSA could ever dream of being, that is, until they themselves took over their communist neighbors. Also, the recent isolation of the USSA from all foreign affairs? Recent? This brought a chuckle to Jesus, as all they've ever done is throw themselves into a now tattered ComIntern! And to top it all of, "we apologize for our actions and would like to rescind our previously violent stance against such nations as the Union of Islamic States, the Republic of the Pampas, India, and even the Pacific Union." Would was going to believe this, accept this apology with open arms? If only it was as easy as that, to forgive your your former adversaries and forget, yet it is never that simple. Either way, now the speech was taking a stronger, more serious turn, at least it was in Jesus's mind...

"...with Mexico is very serious. Naturally we can accept no compromise in this war and we expect the nations of the world to understand that we will exact a harsh and damning revenge upon Mexico for what they have done. Afterwards, however, I, Comrade Premier John Freeman, will do everything in..."

"CHINGADO!" shouted Jesus, right as he threw his shoe at the television set, which fell over and short-circuited. "Can you believe this, Miguel?! No compromise!? It's as if they don't take the Mexican Empire seriously! Can't they see we are about to overrun the West Coast?! Cabron!!" Jesus was in a rage, and with good reason. As long as Mexico has been, it has never garnered any respect, from anyone. Yet, with the recent moves and takeovers in the name of the Mexican Empire, it was argued that she would now become a respected major power in the world. But this was not so. It did not matter what moves Mexico made, because at the end of the day, it was just "Central America."
"As if they couldn't fight back!" snorted Jesus. "Look at the campaign against Nicaragua, they didn't fold! They put up a stiff resistance and had us fighting for weeks.. and in the end, all for that piece of mierda!" And that was exactly why Jesus had decided to make a move against the USSA. Of course, there were other factors, such as that of riches and eliminating a major threat, but the biggest reason of all, was for the respect.
Miguel could only stare at Jesus. He had no words to say at the hate that was being spewed forth by his brother, and as such he kept quiet for a minute, until eventually he turned to leave. "Espera, hermano! I'm sorry, sometimes I overreact, you know how it is... but at least, before you go, tell me... how is mama doing?" said Jesus, almost in a whisper. Miguel turned his head towards him and replied, "Not so good... but you wouldn't know, would you? I still get up early every Sunday and help dress her in her fine clothes for church, and all she has asked of you is that you go and be there with the family, and pray, pero ni puedes hacer eso, ah, hermano?"
"You know my work is here, Miguel... I have to lead my country in these dangerous times, I cannot take a day off as the leader of the Mexican Empire! Porque no entiendes eso?" spoke Jesus, with his face resting on his supporting hand. "Si, times which you have put us in... but it doesn't make a difference, it was always la patria before la familia with you, but I hope, at least, that you'll be there when mama passes away into Heaven," replied Miguel somberly, as he stepped outside the room, leaving Jesus to ponder on the situation, though he knew that, in a matter of seconds, Jesus' thoughts would switch almost instantaneously from family, to country.

From: The European Union

We would advice the pair of you to come to a peaceful agreement now. The European Union is willing to moderate peace talks if you require such a moderator.

More importantly, if peaceful relations are not established quickly, the European Union will intercede to maintain the current balance of power, as it is not in the interests of Europe or her citizens to see it interfered with.

While we would appreciate such mediation we do not think that the Mexicans are so predisposed to peace. Furthermore we do not think, with a violent outburst such as this, that we can guard against further aggression in the future without at least a regime change.

We only wanted to be assured that the USSA would not attack us after their failed invasion of Canada and takeover of Cuba. Because of having good relations with the Republic of the Pampas, the only real threat to me was the USSA, and as they had long ago refused to sign any agreements with me, this was the only way.

I am willing to sign for peace at current borders, and I also wish for the incorporation of Cuba into the Mexican Empire. I do not want anything else.

That is my wish and I strongly doubt I will fold for anything less. If the USSA wishes to continue fighting, then I am fine with that also.

We spit upon your offer. If you want any land you will need to wrench it from our cold, dead hands.

Like they did with San Diego and Los Angeles :p

Great update Jason! Now that I am back:

IC:
India to Burma (confidentially)
The Chinese war is seeminlgy nearing an end. The Indian government has spent a great deal of money and effort securing your land from the Chinese Communist takeover. The cost in lives can never be measured. India can never risk that Chinese troops come close to its borders nor does India wish to annex your territory. Thus India wishes to offer you a deal that would satisfy both sides. India withdraws from your territory in exchange for:
- Right of Passage for Indian troops in case of any war involving Burmese neighbours.
- India in future guarantees Burmese independence from any attack by another nation
- India keeps a small number of troops (no more than one division) spread along Burmese-Chinese to act against deterrent against any Chinese attack
India feels very strongly about the Burmese people as India and Burma share the same history. Indian government feels that under present circumstances this treaty is the best solution to the problems that were created with the Chinese invasion. In addition India promises financial aid to Burma to recover from the ravages of war. Dhjavar Teshnu personally extends his wishes to the head of Burmese government and hopes that the unfortunate state of war that now exists between our nations is nothing more than a misunderstanding and that a peaceful solution along the guidelines outlined by the Indian government can be reached.

Dhjavar Teshnu of India to Leaders of the Nations of Asia
(Russia, Japan, UID, Vietnam, Indonesia)
Some of you may already know of the Indian proposal to establish an organization that would act as a platform to promoting Asian interests to in other parts of the world and for resolving internal Asian disagreements. Dhjavar Teshnu extends his warm wishes to all the Asian leaders and invites them to be members of our organization.

Agreed. We will attend, and wish to thank the Indian government for its actions.
