Well, if you're nothing getting the wonder then no one is. :p

Plus, if that's the biggest reason for you to go to war then the Ilkhanate wouldn't be the civ for you anyway :lol:

How is the UA beneficial? When would you want a conquered city to drop to 0 pop and have all buildings destroyed?

I mean, I know it goes with the UB, but still. That's just bad.

At least make it not destroy wonders. The Ilkhanite isn't ISIS. :D
 
Posting the Ilkhanid design in case someone got any feedback before I come back to modding. Art is all done too, I just need some minor lua, support for mods and text for everything (I think I have a city list at least).
Now this is a Mongol civ, love it.
 
That unit is simply better then the Songhai UU. It needs balancing.
 
Is there any previously reported bugs with The Iberians? In my current game, the game crashes to desktop when it's The Iberians's turn 248. When using IGE to remove them from the game, the crash doesn't occur.

I'm playing with a bunch of mods. Most are new civs and the only gameplay-altering mods are E&D and P&P.
As per usual with CTDs, there's nothing in the logs.

I know this is not a lot to go on, but do you have any idea what could be causing this?
 
Sounds a bit like Lastsword's Gothic Civ, I would love if it helped you actually keep the city. Do you still get resistance with 0 pop? It would be pretty rad to immediately buy units with those gold boosts, maybe like landknecht units.
The Ruznamce is gonna be pretty cool, just raze every city you get until 1 population! Less unhappiness for you wile warmongering and it will benefit you in the future!

OrderofOlav answers it pretty good. You'll get a lot of gold (I'm still tweaking the values, but in the early/mid game you can likely get ~2000 gold from capturing capitals), instead of useless buildings that will help nothing in your quest for global domination, the city will not enter resistance, and you'll have less unhappiness. No population in a city that had 20 = +20 Food, +20 Production and +20 gold from the UB, along with the culture boost from rebuilding the city.

Regardless, it is a purely domination civ, and in domination games it doesn't matter what the city has as long as it is yours. :p

Yeah, 0 pop means 0 turns of resistance. :D

Really nice design. The UA is really cool (except for wonder destroying) but it seems like there should be something religion related in the UA (Of course that would either make the current UA to cluttered or require a not needed redesign).
 
When I play domination, I tend to go for good, built up cities that will benefit my empire. I would do domination a lot less if I got worthless 0 pop cities, TBH.

Then you go for the gold (That you can use to buy an entire new army) and the ruznamce giant bonuses. Honestly I couldn't care less about whether the cities I conquer have 15 pop or 2, it changes nothing in the big scheme of things of a domination game.

Not to mention, the ability only triggers for >>>original<<< capitals. Not every city is going to be reduced to rubble.
 
Make the UA keep all wonders and we're good.

I second this. It's different and I like different. Like Gedemo's Jomon civ, it requires me to think outside the box and play in a way I usually don't.
