Team Sirius

I'm from New Zealand, so I really have no clue about the NBA. :p But it's interesting indeed. I wonder whether we'll end up as rivals or allies in this game. Too early to tell. ;)

It's ok LP I am from the US and have no clue about the NBA either. Or the Nfl or NHL or baseball either. The Amazons have TMIT so this will be interesting.

Actually all of the teams seem to have their share of well-known strong players, which is good to see. Amazon may have TMIT, but just at a quick glance, Mavericks have DMOC and Niklas, Quatronia has Earthling, Merlot has slaze, and CDZ seems to have almost nothing but well-established civvers. (No offense to anyone I missed out, I was just picking random examples. :) ) And not to toot our own horn, but I think we certainly have a few well-known strong players ourselves on Sirius. ;)

Anyway, it's good to see that no team should be at a disadvantage due to not having strong core player(s). The game should be more fun and balanced that way, with no inactive teams.

Yeah I do see that it was just you and TMIT are the only ones I knew of. It is good that all teams have strong players.

Look at the list a couple of lines above. ;)

Thanks for the confirmation... I just wasn't sure because you didn't commit for sure in your earlier posts.

Glad to have you aboard though! :D

Right, i forgot ... And my custom to never open Firefox in a full windows sometimes drives to some mistakes... oh well.

A big team, indeed.
I think i've already heard about LP somewhere and probably Azzaman too, but i can't remember which forums you attend or used to attend.

I, for me i'm active on the SGotM, and (but not much now) in the HoF.
I like Mods like FfH2 and LoR and in those months i'm playing more those solo games than regular BtS.

As you can see i'm from Italy, so i hope you will forgive my poor english.

My interests outside CIV are mainly music (i play keyboards and guitars) and computers. At present my favourite band is Rhapsody, but of course all of the historical Rock Bands and artists, Hard, Progressive and almost any variation.

Hi everyone. Please also sign up here so we can keep track of everyone who is on each team. Thanks. Just to make things easier for everyone involved. Thanks.

I must say this since I saw some discussion of NBA, Go Phoenix. :woohoo:

I post everywhere.:D

I've been active in many Civ communities over the years since January of 2002. Creative Design Group, Evolution Games, Micaelis Rex Online, Strategamer, Parkinsworld (my own site), CivForum.de (the German civ site), and Civfanatics just to name a few. More importantly though, I've played in a massive amount of Civ4 multiplayer games of all different types (PBEM, Pitboss, LAN, Hotseat, online via the Gamespy lobby, SGOTM, and of course these Democracy Games), so I'm pretty familiar with what works and doesn't in each multiplayer environment. :)

Re-reading, I think you meant forums within CFC though... in which case, I'm most active in the General Discussions, Strategies, Democracy Games, Fall From Heaven 2, and (less often) Off Topic areas of the site. I've also done a bit of SGOTM in the past, though not really recently, and have done a couple of write-ups of other games I've played (which reminds me, I still have to finish one of them ;) ).

Hi, I'm wondering if we could start a mp game. It would be nice to try for a rookie like me :-)

Welcome aboard the team, wabatt! :D

Heh, I notice we posted at the exact same time.

As for the multiplayer game though: absolutely, I'm fully keen on getting that started as soon as possible. It'll be most convenient to start arranging it once we have our team's private forum though - which should only be a day or two away now. That also gives a bit more time for anyone else to join the team, so they don't miss out on the chance to play our intra-team game. :)

But certainly, we'll look at getting this started ASAP.

I am glad to see things moving along now. With 6teams and 12 cobs between them will we be doing a huge map?

If the double civs thing goes ahead in the team vote, so that there are 12 civs in total, I would definitely expect a Huge map. If it's just single civs, i.e. 6 in total, then I'd still expect at least a Standard and possibly a Large map. :)

I also would like to join. My only multiplayer experience is PBEM so I probably stay at the sideline at first, just to see how it all works if that's ok.

Hi Irgy and Zjoekov - great to have you with us! :D

Awesome! Glad to have you onboard, Dave. :D
