teaser for FfH II version 0.16

I think the hair, face and clothing on them new drow models look brilliant. But there's a problem with the bust. Of course, it may be down to the individual perception when it comes to these matters ;) In my opinion it doesn't look right. There's no cleavage.

ok, i think i know what you mean, my translator gives for cleaveage somewat unfitting (Spaltproduct) but i think i know what it means, actually it is on the texture, somehow i will have to rarrange it ;)

seZereth, great work on those dark elves.

I may be able to tweak .nif files, but I've never been good at artistic effects like you are.

Great Job! :goodjob:

I would prefer if their were no plastic surgeons or women fighting in mini-skirts in Erebus. Sorry Grey Fox.

the technique you found out is fantastic, i can do so much with nifs now, but you should delete the original mesh (the invisible one), cause it isnt needed and only takes resources ;)
i tweaked your females a bit, their proportions didnt fit :)

Yeah, I know. I do that when I remember to. I'm just absentminded sometimes and over-eager to post a file.

Don't blame me for the sexuality of the svartalfar. Not my fault they arnt as prude as the ljosalfar. :p

You know, generally speaking, with elves, how is one to know if its female or male unless some parts of the model are exagerated, like hair, breasts and the like? Otherwise, things start looking unisex. Dont get me started on dwarves....

P.S. I know this sort of goes back on my origional thesis, but how are we supposed to be able to tell? Unless there is a serioues excess in zooming...(Grey Fox I'm looking at you again).

Gonna have to ask your parents to have that "birds and the bees" talk with you again.

Or, as my wife said, "its easy to tell, the women are smarter."

I never understood what small bugs that impale threatening objects and creatures that feed on nuts all day ever had to do with sex.

EDIT: What?

the dark elf units will be in 0.16, yes? (i don't see it in the changelog, but it must be in! it must! :D) i can't wait for female units that actually attack and don't have such prancy stances

Its up to SeZ. We had a talk about Svartalfar art design so we had some continuity. We opted to go with white skin and black hair for the dark elves (in keeping with their namesake). The attached picture is a reference picture for what they should look like.

I think SeZ will probably modify those units to match the style and close up the cleavage a little bit so she doesn't look like shes nursing between battles. We will also need to find a new picture for Faeryl of an elf with white skin and black hair, thats not going to be easy.

sweet, go SeZ go! :p

dark hair is good, tho maybe 1 white haired unit heh, like a mage or mage hero.. though an assassin hero might be neat for them, or a banshee :D

if those ones aren't used and new ones aren't made, can they all be an optional download? i want to fill out that civ if only for my own games... would be a fun time having female represented units that attack and such, maybe give them the invisible while in forests promotion and itd play very interestingly

oh, and show some skin (like arms legs and necklines, just don't be pornographic about it) so people can tell they're female, most women don't walk around in full body suits and less is more when it comes to stealth

mmm.. having trouble finding pictures of that style of elf, they seem more like moon elves from Forgotten Realms, or dark elves from the Silmarillion

removing the restriction on white hair would prolly help the situation, since most of the pictures im seeing have pale skin with white hair as well

though there are some nice ones on nwnvault for portraits

Black hair is good, and the style in that image is cool Kael. Although, I like white hair on dark elves more :P.
