To: Baase
From: Dermul

As you may know, the Dermul have the safest factories in the world with no injuries or fatalities in the last decade. Unfortunately the Jort are so damnably lazy they will die to avoid work. They will fall off gantries, be pulled through rollers by their tails, go for a swim in sulfuric acid vats and all kinds of other shenanigans to get a day off. We will not stand for this.
Given our recent cordial negotiations on the matter of the subcontinent and your specialities we propose a trade. We will ship you all the lazy bums we have for reanimation and in return you will send half of them back to us, thus increasing both nations labour forces.

OOC : I am sorry for being away all this while. Would be watching this though... Keep it up

To Durmul from Baase

A... controversial consideration. We of Baase may worship death but death is a natural occurrence that will come. To set beings to the killing is questionable. If you wish to see your own people die then kill them yourself. We are willing to help you however. As you are aware the remains of the dead litter the world after the fall of the nations in the storm. As such the opportunity to exploit this is accessible. We will be commencing some animations. In return we will expect your leaners to seek to study at Baasen academies so they may learn the dark ways. I can ensure you that the rotten sign of a zombie might motivate your workforce. As for the dead among your populace... these who die rather than work... I can set some of our necromancers to set up a school of necromancy in your realm so that you can train your own necromancers to raise the dead. We will accept you sending some bodies however to raise in Baase but we do not want a culling over this but rather a consideration of using unused resources that is corpses. Considerations is the will of the necromancer.

Continent Map

For the handful of players that have survived the Sudden Death implementation, I give a gift to you: naming one's continents. I sifted through the signup posts and names were given first-come, first-serve. For the remainder, the dominant power in the area may give a name.

Mathalamus may name the northwest continent given that he rules most of it.

Ninjacow may name his continent.

Ailedhoo and Filli_Noctus may jointly name the continent they are expanding into.

Everywhere else is first come, first serve, with a bias towards those with geographic proximity.

Pebeck. That is what I wish to name my continent. It is native Reptfalkan for "North"

And at some point in the distant future I aim to finish my RP. After this term probably.

Also, have I sent in my orders?

hmm, now i have to think up a name that doesn't in any way reference Mathalamus.

plus, we should listen if the Baltik or the Empire has any suggestions.

I have no names for continents other than Old and New Homes

We do not kill the Jort, they manage to kill themselves - thus diminishing our labour force.
We have considered your proposal to establish an academy in Dermul territory and are willing to accept in principle. We would, however, prefer to establish a jointly administered institution on the subcontinent for the sharing of knowledge.
On a related note a number of Dermul psychics have reported receiving a message from an entity known as Tah-nee that we should jointly name the subcontinent with the Baasen necrocracy. We propose the name Hukilor, or Land of Knowledge in our language.

We like you suggestions and agree to all that has been purposed.

In relative news we will be setting plans later to name all the Baasen controlled isles we have claimed for consideration later on. We will hopefully set this as our dark places of study will also consider the importance of our quest of geographical knowledge.

Orders locked.

Mosher and CivGeneral's nations liquidated due to inactivity. Those tempests are fierce...

We are now down to 8 players. I'm not sure if it's really viable at all at this point. :(

8 players is, although small in many terms, a good number even without NPCs. Please continue: I placed too much effort into Baase's background for the game to end too soon.

==Disorder==

Grue has seen a string of bombings that have left 583 citizens dead and enormous amounts of damage to warehouses, slowing down their economy. While there were scraps of clothes made from materials only found in Ajah, experts ponder if this was a plant or not. Experts have suggested the Grue beef up their intelligence forces to fend off enemy saboteurs.

Update VI: 12 TY

Stats

An aftershock tempest of sorts has destroyed Resdayn and the Baltiks; the latter have come under the growing power of the Mathalamus Empire.

Baase and the Mathalamus Empire have seen a border dispute over the former Romanoran territories; funded by a massive expansion budget, rabid pioneers staked claim to the same island that Baase itself claimed. Darikos is a small island but nonetheless of strategic interest. As Baase’s efforts were more organized, they have taken over the island, though several pioneers are lobbying the Emperor to seek some sort of concessions.

A rich Terium deposit has been found in Cahuilla, giving the state an enormous economic boom; the great power supply could fuel their small economy for years. (+2% GDP)

Pixel-based bonuses are now in effect; larger states have a greater chance of new resource discoveries and higher population growth. I count the pixels every turn except every third, where I count rankings instead.

Orders shall lock next Monday.

Emperor: Hmm... perhaps i have expanded too much. i don't want to piss off Baase.

anyway, a random citizen has asked if we could unite the Entire island that we have majority control of. we considered it, but the Empire may not want to reduce the territory there to a mere foothold, like Baase did. that is, the other Empire, not us.

Anyway, we allocate the minimum amount of the money to claim that island to the south. we could claim the interesting looking island with a single mountain, but i do not wish to waste money.

my spending orders (13,969 to spend)
Army - 2000
Navy - 2000
Espionage - the rest of whats left
Education - 2000
Healthcare - 2000
Infrastructure - 2000
Expansion - as needed

I am sorry, but I am not willing to force my people of the land, as far as I care that is the homeland of citizens of The Empire, they do not wish to be up rooted and be forced out of their land. We hope that this does not offend you like it did the Baltik people

The Empire of Mathalus need keep to the safe routes. Allow the continent we claiming is between us and Dermul, while the isle west of it is our isle, with the lone isle unable to be reach by any power as of yet.

You best not annoy Baase for we are death.

There is no offense. the random person was just motivated by something akin to manifest destiny. fortunately, its a minority opinion. no need to be concerned.

(OOC: i seriously considered being the villain of the game. i kinda miss the old days where i was, but i abandoned it, as it would only serve to damage my standing)

this is the Mathalamus Empire. your ambassadors need to pay closer attention, as it really annoys us when you misspell the name.

and... uh, we have no clue as to what you are talking about. we will claim the large island to the south, connected by the highway, as our Final Expansion. you can have the rest of the island chain.
