I found my first hut and popped 2 hostile villagers. I was really upset at my luck for the first time... Thankfully my warrior survived, and in his next move found... grassland with a bonus! It's the first tile that can be improved to provide 2 food. My luck is getting better. ;-)

Yeah, Civstats has a weird glitch where sometimes when the server goes down or gets rebooted, it says that a whole bunch of people are "Eliminated" when they're not. It's not some kind of mass destruction plot by some player or anything.

oh good...i was worried that my april fool's joke was taken a little too seriously...
I expect to launch the MTDG game tonight after work. To simplify matters for the MTDG turnplayers, we'd like the main game to be at the default port 2056. As a result, this game will go down and move to port 2058 around 8-9PM my time (UTC-7).
There will now be 3 games on my pc and it's possible that I could forget from time to time what order the games should be started in. If you don't see the game you were expecting, try ports 2056, 2057, and 2058.

My scout beat down a wolf, then beat down another wolf. Then the following turn i'd have upgraded him another wolf came out of nowhere to avenge his siblings and ate my scout
I just had a Scout survive a Bear attack unscathed, so I guess he'll be sleeping with one eye open for awhile.
