TF2 (split from screenshots thread)

CnD can't recharge with metal pickups and it's kinda fast to run out and slow to regenerate. Diff'rent strokes.

There's barely any difference between the regular one and the cnd anyway, just that the cnd is better.

You clearly don't use the metal to recharge your cloak. Also, despite what many people seem to think, standing around watching the other team run past is NOT helpful.

I'm too experienced with the regular watch to want to change to either of the unlockables. Also, I don't play enough TF2 to reach the same level with the unlockables as I am at with the regular watch.

yeah i can understand that feeling if you've been playing for a long time. but for newbies, i do think that the CnD and the DR are more potent tools. CnD is very useful if you know how to use it properly, and not just stand around doing nothing.

they actually did a study and found you could move the same distance crouch walking as running then stopping to refuel then running again in the same time period.

If you actually have patience, the CnD is amazingly useful. I can easily sneak into my enemies base, set up camp for a short while where I need to be, and when the opportunity comes, I can cap the final point/steal the intel/backstab 9 people/kill the engie and sap his buildings/whatever.

Yep, that is the nice advantage of the CnD, you can cloak, perch up somewhere and then hop down and snag a point.

It's better if you don't spend like 5 or more minutes waiting though, then you're just being useless.

i actually think valve did really well with the spy unlocks - they all seem quite balanced, unlike some of the weapons.

Oftenly, to conserve on cloak power, I just disguise as a friendly class and rush in (while seeking out a good hiding spot). Cloak, change disguise to an enemy class, and sneek in.

I'm not that happy with the ringer but I suppose it's better balanced than it used to be. And it does reward good players more than bad ones. :dunno:

IMO, the only good thing the Dead Ringer has is extinguishing a Pyro's flame.

I'm glad I don't play much/any arena, then? Even playing pyro it's a pain in the ass to try to kill a DR spy even after you set him alight, chasing him all the hell over the place usually just out of axe range and he never friggin dies.
