Turn Summary for Lurkers Only!

—Turn 3 --

Update:
Again, Not a lot to report.

I switched my citizen in Babylon to work the plains instead of the grassland. I'm giving up 1 food to get 1 shield… normally, I prefer to get food – but on this small map, I want to get a better sense of my surrounding asap.

My worker is still working on his road to the furs, and that’s about it!

Stay tuned for more from Babylon!

Here's a shot from my city-screen.

Declassified information for all…

- Chapter 2 -
Ka-Whack.
Aaros's crude bronze shovel tore into the fertile ground, and tossed another clump of earth to the side of the broad trench he was digging. Sweat was glistening on his brow – he had been at this all morning, and now the sun was almost straight overhead.
His shovel made a satisfying "thud" sound as he slammed it, upright, into the pile of dirt on his right. Leaning up against the shovel, now serving as a leaning stick, he shaded his eyes and looked back towards the great city of Babylon. The gently sloping terrain gave Aaros an excellent view of The Great Golden Mountain towering next to the city. All morning it had cast its long shadow across Babylon's quiet streets, but now that the sun was higher, the whole city was bathed in brilliant sunlight – it was quite the breathtaking sight. So many people, all living together in one place! Remarkable.
Aaros shifted his gaze from the city, to the "road" leading from the city to his location… and wondered… "Where are those slow footed fools with the lunch break food supplies?"
After a moment of intense looking, he spotted a small band of people with large baskets on their backs making their way up the "road." They were much closer than he expected! Perhaps this crazy "road" idea of the General's would indeed make travel faster. But where were they building this road too?!? Aaros sighed – he had wondered about this before, and there were still no answers. But he was a faithful servant of the Great General – and so Aaros returned to digging the road to nowhere, happy in the knowledge that the food would arrive soon.

You mean that You, Classical Hero, and Fe3333au have all played and just neglected to post?

At any rate, I haven't received the save from Fe - so it's still out there somewhere!

Hey, does Rik have to moderate the spoilers? :mischief:

Turn 4 has begun!

Spoiler lurkers only :

—Turn 4 --

Update:
I finished roading my plains tile this turn [party]

So I switched my citizen to work that tile, getting me 1 extra commerce... and shaving 2 turns off my reserach time to Warrior code.

I think I'll irrigate this tile next, then move on to finish the road to my furs. I've got 7 turns till my culture expands to cover the furs anyway.

Stay tuned for more from Babylon!

Here's a shot from my city-screen.

I. Happenings
...Athens #1 city!
...Chamnix and Rik have now reached 20 VP's. I wonder what they're up to. Have they built a city yet?
...I completed a road so I now am generating more science, but I'm wondering if I should switch to pottery, which I can get in 8 turns. Things will be different once I have a warrior to explore with, I suppose.

Turn 4(-3850) – My GNP dropped to 5th in F-11 – I’m assuming that means some people roaded first. There is a hint of grass north of the jungle – my scout will head that way.
