Honestly, I didn't realize how old the thread was before it was too late. I felt bad immediately after posting, as I hate to dig up old threads like this.

But, I'm glad new people (like myself) can now be exposed to this story. Next time, I'll keep an eye on the thread date.

The original story was very well written... you have a high standard in both descriptive story telling and humour to try to live up to.

At least a Beyond the Sword Expansion Pack game will be slightly different from this story in terms of the tech tree sequence, since the tech tree was tweaked a bit since then.

Also, I agree here. We have areas where these stories can be linked (currently, the Stories & Tales Central thread, which is stickied, and soon to be the Stories & Tales Post). Let's not bump these old threads, as doing so is likely to bug the original author and original readers with multiple-year-old subscription-based email messages.
