TheLopez helped me out with defining dictionaries, so now we have a new feature in TAM meant to help sway historical religions. At the beginning of the game, every civilization is randomly given a percentage of points towards the technology that directly founds "their" religion, based on culture-group divisions. The following civilizations have a chance of gaining 0-80% of the tech points for the following technologies:
- Britons, Gaul, Iberia: Tribal Law (Animism)
- Illyria, Lydia, Mycenae, Rome: Priesthood (Olympian Gods)
- Babylon, Hittites, Kolchis, Persia: Astrology (Mesopotamian Gods)
- Carthage, Egypt, Nubia, Phoenicia: Polytheism (Heliopolitan Gods)
- Media, Persia: Philosophy (Zoroastrianism)
This is meant to be a compromise; realistic religions will be slightly swayed, but it's still possible for an Iberian to discover Mesopotamian Gods, for example. The following civilizations have not been assigned techs yet:
Germanic Tribes
Getae (Dacia)
Scythia
Goths
What do you guys suggest? (Christianity is barred from the list of possibilities and I don't think any of these fit for Judaism).
