Ten years ago John Armstrong met Ann and the attraction was instant. Joining forces in marriage and business, they set up U-Fit, Coventry's third biggest double glazing company.
Driven by the desire for profit and with sales figures on the slide, John and Ann are constantly battling to find ways to fire up their sales force. But motivating the team is an uphill struggle, with John and Ann resorting to ever more desperate measures to get the team selling.
This week it's come to Ann's attention that the sales team are hardly using their phones - just half an hour a day. Deciding it is time for that to change, Ann invites a high flying consultant to pitch for the chance to help her re-enthuse her staff. However in the opposite corner of the office, husband John is not sure there's much that any consultant can teach him. And he certainly does not like the thought paying for one.
The Armstrongs is an access all areas insight into the unorthodox and sometimes ruthless business antics that are par for the course at the company.
Anyone who was watching the Apprentice which has just restarted - great program with one hysterical woman that probably needs sedating, may have also watched this odd program afterwards.
Basically its a real life Office which is worse than whats portrayed in the Office. This is the second series and its very odd what they get up to. Loved the bit with the car metaphor where the consultant tried to extend it. This is the second series and the scary thing is that it is in Coventry so theoretically I could find the place.
