I use bars of soap in the bath/shower. Liquid soap at sinks. What do you do with the soap remnants from bars? I have 'welded with water' the soap remnant to the new bar of soap. I also have used an empty liquid soap container with an few centimeters of water and then shove the soap remnants into the bottle and let them sit for weeks until it's liquid soap.

Here is another idea: http://www.instructables.com/id/Reuse-Your-Old-Soap/

This is not soap welding: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9jgLlqlWOEU

Do you practice the soap arts? If so reveal your secrets. :)

I practically rub the soap remnants into my bath sponge. Or they're brought to the sink soap dish. I'm done with them when I accidentally drop them and they go into the drain.

I also prefer bar soap in showers, liquid soap at sinks. Bar soap at the sink ends up messy because you reach for the soap, use it, and then put it back, and I always drip on the counter as I move between the soap dish and the sink.

I do not do either of the things linked in the OP.

I read the title as soap wedding. And I was all set for some soap opera talk about... I don't know... some wedding or other.

I shall have to think carefully about welding before I post any more.

edit: yeah, no. I've used only liquid soap for years now. I do vaguely remember welding little bits of soap together though. It's an art, you say?

"It's an art, you say?"

Caressing those supple lines; two souls intertwined to become one; sliding lubricated foam across every crevice of your body.

It is not an art here, more like yelling and screaming. Not really. I do my best to use up that last remains of a bar, but sometimes I loose the battle with the rest of the household. They can not figure out that if you leave the small part up instead of down, it will "meld" better.

exactly we have to promote soap welding to the masses (kids/wife).

Erm...

Actually, come to think of it...
