I can't import the Colonization John Adams LH. Is there any modification I have to make to the original nif model before I import it to blender?

The same thing that happens when I try to import any other shaded LH. The thing is, I've tried importing other Colonization LH's and they import just fine.

I'm sure you've been asked this before, but which version of Blender do you have? I'm using 2.46.

get 2.48 or the 2.49 release candidate. i think i had probs with 2.45/46 when i tried. i have been able to move on to 2.48. its nice that it handles dds - no need to make tgas.

Updated to 2.49, no dice. I got the same result when importing Adams. Is there a newer version of the nif script add on that I could try downloading?

EDIT: Turns out there is! I imported it with no problem.

Oh and Capo, I don't like directly revealing who I'm working on (I like surprises!), but I will say that he's a character from TV.

No prob. From july on I will have examinations. In august I'll be in holidays. So, I won't have much time for civ4 now anyways. This will also give Methyl some more time. However, don't mind, just take time.

@ veBear: I can take a look at it but I honestly don't know what the difference is. I've never really dealt with shader v. nonshader before at all when making LHs, so if you can fill me in on what the difference is that'd be helpful. Like I say all the time, I'm not as good/knowlegable as some of my LHs make me seem.

@ Everyone else (well I guess veBear too); I've been a bit backed up on some projects but I promise I'll get back to the LHs I've promised to make (Nagy, Nasser, Cartimandua, the Inuit LH etc.) once the Alexander project is finished and once I finish up these flavored units I've been working on. But in the meantime here's this...

MARCVS ANTONIVS​

This was an LH made by Pencilgod (who came, graced us with Nefertiti and left mysteriously) who previewed this LH but never actually posted it anywhere. Fortunately for everyone else he sent it to me because he wanted some advice on it and I just remembered I had it. So with a new background he's posted in the database and ready to go!

And yes he is based on James Purefoy's depiction of Marc Antony from the HBO/BBC series Rome (which was an awesome series BTW).

While I was working on the Alexander LH I sort of got the idea for this. It's Basil II of the Byzantines, known as the Bulgar Slayer. I know Ekmek already made one but I wanted to give him a different look for my mod. This one isn't so great though, I think it definitely needs a new skin-job, and I have this idea in my head that its pretty "boring," so I'm posting it here to see what you guys think. I used CFK's Fearless Leader as the base.

I suppose he could also be used as any other Byzantine leader, or if you want someone else. I dunno, just something I thought of and kind of went with out of nowhere. It took me a couple of hours to make so its a quick job.

Well... the problem is mainly that i got a vista, and noshaders don't seem to work with the for me.

I also have a Vista too actually. But the issue here is that I am not exactly sure what the difference between shaded and non-shaded is.

you cant name him Heraclius?

FINE how about when I post him I just name him "Byzantine Leader," I just need someone to retexture it because I think it looks a little crappy at this point, I won't ask Bernie because he's busy on Alex and this is the best I could do myself.
