Well this LH actually had six different people with different strengths and abilities work on it, so its really good and I can admit beyond my lone capabilities. That isn't so say I couldn't make it, but perhaps not as good as it turned out. Thanks though.

Cool. You got me curious. BTW: your Kekkonen has nice glasses. I am not thinkng on the model, that wouldn't fit to Nagy, but the glasses have a nice gloss effect. My version didn't have any glasses in the glasses, if you know what I mean

I have decided to redo Nagy, so I should have him ready for you in the next week or two, probably next week sometime though.

This is an LH I started on and put down and now I think I am going to pick it back up again, which is why I asked for the hood. This is what I have for Cartimandua of the Celts (Brigantes). I don't really know what direction I'm going in with this, so if anyone has any suggestions that'd be cool. I was kind of thinking of making her look like a druid, since that base isn't covered with the current Celtic leaders, although it may be unhistorical.

Well, the thing is that we really don't know what Carthy looked like. Even this painting as an artistic depiction.

So go ahead and dress her up like a druid. It's not like Firaxis always does faithful representations of leaders.

Seconding.
I'm only okay with fictionalized appearances in a few situations:

1. The fictionalized version is more well known (Genghis Khan or Rameses the Great, depicted as )
2. We have no real idea what the figure looked like beyond some very vague depictions (a good chunk of European leaders back when everyone was depicted as looking like Jesus, also any Egyptian leaders from the dawn of civilization up until the end of Hellenism)
3. The leader looks too generic looking as it is.

That is why I am taking some artistic liscence. Cartimandua did no fighting of her own and the only source we have is a biased source (Tacitus) and of course no actual depictions of her. I don't want to make her a Boudica clone, and I feel that this aspect of Celtic culture isn't represented in the game. So that is why Cartimandua will look the way she will look. Her dress is going to look good too, I have a good idea for that, and it is not apparent from that model I showed you.

Is that head based on C Roland's "new female" leaderhead? I know that he's one of the only modelers to try making them completely from scratch, but the facial and hair detailing on the model never really struck me as fully human (at least not at the level of the normal Firaxis ones). I say this not to dissuade you or to berate C Roland's always-ambitious and largely successful work; I do say it in order to give you a "heads-up" to issues and complaints that may possibly arise as you proceed with Cartimandua.

Yea, I'd go with druid over this depiction. -Way- too heavily Romanized. "And here we have Celtic Mary Magdalene."
Just try not to make her look stereotypically druid, like self-proclaimed druids of today.

HIAWATHA​

I was asked by Phungus420 to touch-up the Hiawatha module made by Edgecrusher and Ekmek, and I went a little overboard (I think originally it was only the hair I was asked to change). So here is Hiawatha of the Onondaga/Mohawk Iroquois, he was one of the men credited with founding the Iroquois confederacy (along with Deganawida/"the Great Peacemaker"), and was known as a great orator. I am not sure exactly what his traits should be but Charismatic should certainly be one of them. Anyway here he is, thanks to The_Coyote for supplying me with a fix to the background fog, and thanks to Ekmek for the original model.

EDIT: Also I suck at texturing, so I'm the wrong guy to ask. That was literally the best I could do.

Just a little preview of the Nanuk/Inuit LH I am working on for the Native American pack I am working on with NikNaks. This is nowhere near close to being finished but this is a general idea of what I am working. I am going to make a lot of changes to this, but as a basic concept this is the direction I am going in. I basically threw this texture on so it looked like an Inuit and not like a crazy homeless person.

This is nowhere near close to being finished but this is a general idea of what I am working. I am going to make a lot of changes to this, but as a basic concept this is the direction I am going in. I basically threw this texture on so it looked like an Inuit and not like a crazy homeless person.
