Well, if you're killing an elite 5 levels above you, you're OP. :p

No other class can usually do it. Except maybe pallies.

Yay, I finally got the headless horseman's mount. :)

On my blood elf paladin...

My current subscription is ending today too... :ack:

Meh, I don't like those events, they dry up LFD.

 Eh, if it's too good to be true it probably isn't. Checked it up and it turned out he wasn't elite. It was the quest mob for the Nifty Stopwatch trinket and he apparently isn't as bad as he looks even if you're 5 levels below. Still the warlock have always felt more powerful compared to the warrior I have.

[Witty opening line]

So yea I use to play WoW. Stopped mid way through WotLK after ICC opened. LK was to easy.

How is it now?

After patch 4.0.1, everything changed (except for content)... you'll need to relearn how to play your class. ;)

Oooooh, didn't realise there was a WoW community on CFC :D

Enjoying tanking post-patch, my threat generation seems better (I'm a warrior), and the changes tey've made to blocking are pretty nifty. Haven't really played around with my Fury spec much yet, although I've worked out the mastery is terrible for fury speccers :(

A tiny one though.

Yeah my main is a fury warr. The loss of armor penetration really hurt our dps. Not sure about the mastery, since we don't have the gear yet, and I can't reforge much since I need a lot of hit to cap it...

I read that arms might actually be the better dps spec for now, but we'll see how it goes in Cata.

True, but it's something =D

Yeah, I hated that :( Also the loss of Improved Berserker Stance means Strength is a little less awesome for us than it was pre-patch :( So I'm not really sure whether str or crit is now the better stat. I've reforged haste into hit and crit on most of my gear.

Yeah, I've heard as well that they've tried to bring Arms up to speeds for PvE, but we'll have to see how it goes.

Str is still our primary stat. I would gem for it in the red (bold, +20 str) and yellow (+10 str, +10 something) slots.

Crit isn't as important now IMO. Haste counts for more - faster swings, more hits, more rage. ;) Crit dmg no longer gives you extra rage...

They have normalized rage generation for warriors. You won't get extra rage fr doing crit dmg, unlike in the past. So to get more rage, basically you need to hit more. ;)

Haven't played since March. It seems to me they are really dumbing the game down. This seems to be the trend now days (as in civ5). But I could be wrong, as I haven't actually played it.

But seriously, a hunters pet at level 1? Removing the need to train for weapons? They are really making the game too easy.

Simplified game mechanics, but the content and mechanics ain't being dumbed down. This is the first time since 1.11 that my game play has actually felt different (main is a mage).

They may have changed the gear curve (though this is true for WoW-post 2.0 period)

Was doing 9-10k DPS on my Rogue pre-patch now down to 6-7k (on marrowgar).
Feels bad man.
But on the bright side was playing on my warrior off-spec Fury and getting like 9kDPS. SICK

My tankadin is definitely squishier (due to the armor nerf, 18-20% more incoming damage) so it's weird to run Heroics and actually see my health drop. I can't just barrel through the gauntlet in COT4 anymore without having Potential Death Issues. :)

My MM hunter is sort of gathering dust. I took him out a few times to try out the new Focus mechanic, but I haven't spent the time researching new rotations much. I wasn't playing him much before the patch anyway, so it's not a big priority.

The shaman got some cool changes, but I've barely played him other than just logging in and tinkering with his spec and glyphs. He was dual-spec'd (Enh and Resto) but I haven't even tried Resto yet.

My Afllic warlock lost Haunt, and won't get it back for 7 more levels. That pissed me off so much I've barely played him since 4.1 dropped.

Ironically, I've probably spent more time on lowbie alts than my 80s. It's almost more fun just learning something for the first time than having to re-learn something you already knew. I've taken my feral druid from 10 to 25 since 4.1 dropped, and really liking all the changes to the early-game experience.

I haven't seen a DPS loss on my rogue at all. What spec and rotation are you using?

Combat.

Open up with an ambush or garrote (dunno which wins yet)
SS
2 CP SD
SS till 4 CP
The new move (grants 10%+ more damage with combo point using special attacks foorgot exact name).
Eviscerate.

Oh, and ofc I start with my cooldowns just keeping SD up.

bump. This thing is getting close, I keep seeing advertisements for it everywhere. Are there any changes in the game world yet?

I'm still undecided on buying this. I miss it. But I'm playing fallout new vegas right now, and my hands and wrists are already hurting. First person perspective games always cause me carpal tunnel problems. I will need to take a break after my game of fallout new vegas is finished. Civ type games don't give me carpal tunnel problems. I think it's the constant movement in first person games that causes me problems. WASD and mouse really isn't a good way to move. Not to mention wow requires so much button mashing. And I hear they are trying to increase the amount of moves you make requiring even more button mashing. Normally on my paladin I might only use the 1 through 5 keys, rarely need more than that (except pvp whatever).
