Father hires people to "kill" his son in online game (from the article it seems to be World of Warcraft). But I seriously doubt a griefer is going to drive someone away from a game.
This game is responsible for such addiction in this world. I myself have been addicted in the past, and you can say I still am, since I haven't given it up entirely.
But I think I will give it up after my trial period is done tomorrow. There's just too much to do in this game. I haven't even touched pet combat yet, or fully explored all the cataclysm or the island of Pandaria. Nor have I done much with some professions like archeology (I still don't know how it works). So much to do, so little time. Yes I could play maybe 16 hours a week (all I currently have time for), but you can't get much done in that time.
I love this game, and I miss playing 12 to 16 hours a day back when I was unemployed. I miss exploring every nook and cranny of every zone. But my hands and wrists can't take that abuse anymore. There's just too much to do, and it can't be done in a couple hours of gameplay. I do like the social aspect of the game, and I don't want to go back to single player games, but they are the only games that I don't become hopelessly addicted to. Once you finish a single player game, you are finished.
