I like my Alli characters more overall because I'm a pvper and battleground ques for Horde are through the roof, but I love the new Orgrimmar and wish Blizz made SW as fantastic. :( I mean, there are only two places with AH people in SW, and what, there are 5 in Org? Same with bankers. Also, I hate how Blizz gimped up Worgens. The old look of the females were fantastic, but for some reason they were ditched. :( I have no idea why, but it makes me very sad.

I guess no one is playing it. I just don't have time to play it. Mists seemed to kiddie to me.

WOW is getting younger and younger every year it seems. I kind of feel too old for that game now. People might think I'm some kiddie perv if I play that game. I don't think there are any players above 18 any more.

I'm 100% certain that the majority of players will be over 18. After all, the average age of gamers is in the early 30s. ;) Everyone that I know who plays is also over 18.

I played for a while, and enjoyed it a lot. I really don't understand where the whole kiddie thing came from to be honest. The lore leveling through pandaria definitely wasn't "kiddie". I cancelled my subscription a few weeks ago, not because I stopped enjoying it, but because I didn't have time to raid, and without raiding I don't really feel like there's anything in the game for me.

Well, I guess the thing is that the new "flavor" of the expansion is not everybodies taste. I bought it - and while the areas look somewhat nice, all these animal races aren't really my taste. I have only played one character to level 86 and I am already bored to tears...

God help me, but I have installed the game, and am doing a 10 day free trial. Doubtful I'll continue. 10 days will probably be enough for me.

I loaded a high level character, but realized everything is so different, I can't begin to figure out how to play. I don't like the new talent system at all. The tree seems to be gone? Where is it? I'm so used to 3 trees. I see a rectangular box with like 3 talents every 5 levels. I'm hopelessly confused. I had loaded my hunter, and realized they no longer carry two weapons. So much for the stat boost on my cool axe. I really liked how they switched weapons when less than 6 yards. I'm not sure I like this change.

Sadly, it seems the only way to learn the game again is to start a level 1 character. Sigh. Kind of makes my high level characters pointless. I have this problem every time I get into the game again. I'm usually terrified to run my first dungeon as a healer or whatever. I feel out of practice. That happened last year about this time. I was out of practice. It's a pain relearning how to play.

So naturally it makes sense to start the new race and class. Pandaran monk. I found a cool character name from an old Sodom song. It's nice to find cool names that aren't taken. It's why I go for obscure words like this one. Unfortunately the male model is a fat bastard. No option to make him slimmer. :( I could go with female, but I'd rather not.

The Chinese stereotypes are pretty bad. As a white guy, I'm cringing. I wonder what actual Chinese think of this. The Chinese hats and mustaches are hilarious- not that I would laugh at horrible racial stereotypes or anything. The game doesn't seem very PC in that regard. Hmmm

Okay, enough of that, time for my first quest.

Yeah they massively cut down the talent trees, for the better imo. There are less talents to choose from, but more meaningful choices, whereas in the old trees there were more options, but you didn't really have a lot of actual choice about where you put points. It was all cookie cutter builds or you're bad. Now you can choose which abilities you like the best, and swap them out whenever you want.

I had lvl 80 Death Knight, Darkthrust, gave it away sometime ago .. :(
I miss it .

yeah I don't like the new talent system. I may get used to it, but not so far. It really takes away from the level up experience. So I gain a new level, what do I gain? Nothing. In the old days it used to tell you you gained 3 strength, 2 agility and whatnot, now, not even that. So a level up is just- meh. I don't even gain new spells anymore. My next spell (as a monk) isn't til like level 20 something. They simplified the game too much, and took away too much. I used to like going to the class trainer to level. Even if it was a higher rank of a skill/spell I already had. They took the joy out of leveling up.

Kind of bored of my monk, and may play around with my goblin (that sounds dirtier than it actually is) a bit. Last year I was playing mostly alliance characters, but I may go back to my horde guys. In my heart, that's what I am.

I am getting a loading bug I never had with this game before. My monk guy is actually "stuck" after leaving the island. I had this when I tried to load my druid yesterday. The loading screen gets stuck. How can these companies expect to keep my business (they won't, because I'll cancel after my free trial period) with games that don't work. Star Wars the Old Republic is the same way. That game won't work for me, so they aren't getting my business either. And both bugs I've looked up, it isn't just me who sufferers from them.

edit: yeah I can't get most of my "old" characters to load. Some who I haven't touched since Lich King days. Oh well.

I'm really torn over this xpac. On one hand, I think it's the best one yet, at least in terms of PvE. Definitely on par with BC. There's a lot of stuff to do and it's a lot of fun. I really like Monk healing; it's so different from anything I've ever played in WoW. I'm glad Blizzard took a risk and designed something new.

On the other hand, I'm primarily a PvPer and MoP's PvP is in really poor shape. It's getting better, but this season was so borked from the beginning that it can't be salvaged. Then they added the gear upgrade system which dramatically increases the gear gap between the haves and have-nots. It's a simple and decent progression system for PvE but it only exacerbates existing problems in PvP. That and the Arena ladders are deader than they've ever been. 1800 is the new 2000. 2200 is nearly impossible to get since by the time you hit 1800 you're facing fully upgraded T2 teams. Everyone wintrades RBGs to get T2 and Blizzard isn't doing anything about it.

Might cancel come February. I like MoP's PvE but I just don't have the time to invest in that. PvP is the only thing keeping me and it sucks.

Got my monk up til 15 so I can finally queue for 5 mans. It's funny, even though I've done the 5 mans a million times, it's still much more fun than single player questing. At one time, I really enjoyed single player questing in this game. It took a long time to get up to 60 (before they nerfed leveling xp). Now I have no patience for it. They really should move towards spoken word dialogue from all the NPC's. I hear other MMO's have that. The dungeon finder has ruined me for all single player questing.

Monk healing is interesting. It's pretty easy on the early dungeons. Hardly anyone takes damage. I just try to keep up some chi in case I need it.

how do i get hold of one of these private server thingies ? I hope there are no legal problems associated with this ?

So mango playing in these servers dont cause any problems ? I wonder ...

the fact that my ******** country decided to ban Pirate bay some monthes back, raises questions in my mind .

It'll only exist because Blizzard hasn't found it. If they find it they will take steps to shut it down.

By the way, people ARE playing the game, some one find out how my character is doing ? if at all being played ?

Darkthrust

We'd have to know what server it's on.

This game seems to run slower than it used to. Or maybe it's just me, or my computer. I also have the graphics setting on high, but I should be able to run them. This game doesn't exactly use modern graphics. The lag is worse too, but maybe that's my internet.

Graphically the game has absolutely gotten more demanding.

A machine that ran it great two year ago is going to be just 'okay' now.

And certain fights / situations make it worse. Sha of Fear is particularly bad.

Yes, Molten is illegal. It's been around a long time, though, so I don't think (I hope!) it won't be shut down for a while.

Molten-wow.com

It's free. There are some glitches, but on the WoTLK version they're few and far between (except escort quests; those are f'ed). There's also a Cata version.
