I live in Britain, and have done so all my life, and I still haven't worked out exactly what "British Culture" is....

He should come up to Scotland and tell us how our culture is all British, I suspect he probably wouldn't recognise the fact that Britain consists of various different nations in a union; Wales, Cornwall, Scotland, England, Northern Ireland, Isle Of Man etc.

BBC will show you a boat load full of illegals from Chad, Guinea, Niger, Ghana and Eritrea coming from the trek into Libya and crossing the sea into Europe and the BBC spins a pro-refugee piece, the BBC will run a news report and call them 'Syrian Refugees'

Also if you are any good with peoples or language or art or faces you should also be able to easily recognize the difference between say illegal people coming to Europe/West from say Mongolia, Bangaldesh, Pakistan....and film footage of someone in a refugee camp in Syria

Tell me you can visually recognize say the Syrian little girl is not of the same people and culture as say the boat full of people....you can see visually there is a different and it is possible to indentify these people as different? No?

In British English, 'Asian' alone is usually taken to mean somebody from the Middle East. As Owen points out, that's just as legitimate as using it to describe somebody from any other part of the Asian continent.

So, the main point here is: how do these two exclude each others? Should the media stop calling Barack Obama American, because the fact is he's a Christian? Or should they quit calling Angela Merkel European, since the fact is she's a Christian? This makes absolutely no sense.
