Do you drink coffee? How do you like it prepared? Do you care about the bean variety, grind size, roast level, etc? What are your favorite espresso beverages? What's your favorite cafe or coffee chain?

Spoiler cafe vibes :

I had a cup back in college almost 50 years ago, didn't like it. Haven't had one since.
Amphetamines worked better.

I'm ambivalent about it mostly. I'll drink it if offered. I can tolerate chain stuff if it's a really candied up mocha or something but straight coffee is usually iffy at best for me. The hipster type coffee places I can tolerate too since they at least don't have as bitter as coffee like Starbucks or something does. There are a few exceptions. Good kona coffee is excellent and doesn't need anything added. I really like that stuff, so smooth.

When I was in Miami and had authentic Cuban coffee for the first time it sort of blew my mind. Same when I had Vietnamese coffee in Vietnam. The friend who I was with at the time hated coffee and even he was like "dang this is good."

I find it very difficult to enjoy. The closest I get is an Iced Capp from Tim Hortons, and only the original. Once you start adding different syrups and whipped cream it's terrible. Other iced cappuccinos from independent cafes are mostly bad.

And, of course, the pressing point there is that I like the sugar and milk far more than I do the coffee...

I gave up on it roughly 4 years ago, because I had sleep problems, and hoped this would help with it. Not sure if it did.
If I now go out to anywhere in the afternoon, I often order a decaf latte or cappuccino, because I like the taste a bit.
I think I'd like to drink it more often, but can't hang out at a coffee shop every day ^^.

I love coffee in all shapes and forms. I prefer freshly ground but I'm no coffee hipster, tbh instant will do fine. I try to limit myself of one cup a day as more than that can be slightly too explosive on my digestion. I've never in my life ever felt any effect from caffeine at all, I suspect I'm immune to it.

Oh yes, big time. I'm Brazilian after all.
I have 4 or 5 espressos on a typical day. No time to brew my own unfortunately, but I love espressos so no biggie.

I love it but it doesn't love me. The acidity sets off my acid reflux terribly. Coffee and red wine are the big culprits. I love it black or with cream, not sweet. I almost always avoid adding sugar but mochas and stuff are fine.

I drink a mug of it almost every day. It's cafe au lait. I prefer medium roast African beans from Kenya and Tanzania etc. When not at home, I'll have a latte or plain coffee if there is no other choice. One mug gets me through the day.

One bowl of coffee made with a French press in the morning, then 3/4 expressos a day. All black, no sugar, no milk. I try to avoid drinking some after 5pm though.

oh, and I hate robusta.

Yep, never sugar. A slight cut of milk is nice in the morning, though.

And agreed about robusta.

Yeah I drink coffee but my standards aren't exactly high. I drink it as long as it has caffeine. I have to confess that I am a caffeine addict. The recent year I've dropped of my usual dosage from 5 cups a day to 2-3 cups + coca cola. It nets high caffeine index still for sure. (and cola is ultra high sugar index as well) The thing is I can't really properly get up in the morning without it. (telltale sign of addiction #1) and I realize it is not healthy but I still maintain my dosage (telltale sign #2), but to the point :)

I absolutely despise cheap decaff substitutes and soluble coffee , (bleah !) I think it is better to hit myself with a hammer each morning instead to jump start my day  I start my day with a coffee made in (what we Poles call it) a Turkish way, which means I take grinded beans and pour a boiling hot water over them. I like to evaporate water in those fancy expresses too but in the morning it takes too much time. I have a grinder at home and though my standards aren't high, sometimes I undergo a "ceremony" ritual (for the fun of it) - I grind my beans myself and put them in the express over the stove for the water to evaporate and liquefy me the sweet dark nectar - espresso style ! :D I always choose Arabic or African beans for that.

I am not a stickler when it comes to use sugar, I don't use milk though - it has to be black ! ^^

I loved coffee for a few years and then had enough crappy coffee to turn me off it entirely. It's mainly the bitterness that bothers me and I only ever drink it sweet and with milk or cream. I do get stuff like Starbucks but I consider those deserts/treats rather than a cup of coffee. I recently found that if you add salt to a cup of coffee, that should cut the bitterness a lot but I'm so off it I don't care to try it.

Now I get my caffeine fix from packets of sweetener, artificial flavor and caffeine that I add to water. Very tasty, convenient and cheap.

Ahh I see You are probably preparing Yourself for the expedition to space. I've heard that astronauts use those tubed paste for everything ;)I wonder if coffee is forbidden or not in space

I never drank it until I had kids and now I need it to live. I hate buying it though and prefer to brew my own. Mr. Wonderful shames me with his whole "why on earth would you pay seven bucks for something you can make yourself for 30 cents."

I just put a splash of milk in. No sugar.

I usually drink ice coffee with a small creamer bought from the convenience store down the street.

I very seldom drink soda anymore, and if I do it comes from the restaurant fountain. I just find that too sugary of drinks give me an upset stomach so coffee is a good substitute.

@Arakhor Exact punctuation and capitalization?
Edit: Oh wait, I can change it myself
Also, not sure Hygro if the 1 is a !!!1!! type of 1 or an installment number. If the latter, it could be called "the cereal thread"

I use my French press a few times a week. I also have a grinder and often grind the beans fresh, tinker with the grind size, and so on. You can get some very delicious coffee that way. However, it's too time-consuming, so I usually just go with Keurig. Just grab a mug, press the button, jump in the shower, and come back to find my coffee waiting for me.

This reminds me... something I loved about Japan was the coffee vending machines. I also liked getting coffee from the convenience stores. Which are, of course, famously much better than convenience stores in the US.

I make coffee on the weekends or any other day when my gf is off work. Just ordinary drip brewed regular brand coffee, which we both drink with vanilla creamer and sugar. I like it enough to drink it, but not enough to make it just for myself if she goes to work.

When I go to Starbucks I usually drink tea, though sometimes I get one of those frappachino things that my son refers to as "a poor excuse to drink a milkshake for breakfast."
