Mongols - Turn 49

Mongols vs Romans - Round 1
Roman warrior attked Karakoram, but apparently was defeated. :) Only succeeded in providing target practise for my now vet spear. Accompanying archers lost their nerve and simply fortified on the hill.

New vet spear in 1 turn in capital. :)

Over in the north in Kazan; Roman archers were repulsed as well.

Another 3 Roman warrior bands coming southwards. But we are not afraid... :p

New city founded, Almarikh. :yeah:

Game will be emailed.

Mongols - Turn 50

The Roman forces seemed to be trying to group for a mass attack on Karakoram... Otherwise, our position is fairly secured.

Writing in 8 turns.

Mongols - Turn 52

1 Roman archer and 3 warriors converged on Karakoram; we 'removed' 1 of them warrior bands with an effective counterattk. :) The capital is relatively secured, with two fortified spears and one injured warrior.

Lost 1 warrior north, in Kazan, while attking another Roman warrior band across a river... :(

Mongols - Turn 53

Mongols vs Romans - Round 2
All 2 warriors and 1 archer fell attking Karakoram; got one elite spear... :) We'll begin building a force to march northwards...

The Romans are now willing to make peace but they refused to give up either Antium or Veii... No matter...

Writing in 6 turns. The end is finally in sight...

Game will be emailed.

Not much going on in Japan. Scandinavian warriors escorting a settler to the Southern Peninsula, where many resources are located (see screenshot).
Vet speaman in Karakorum becomes elite defending against three Roman attacks - without taking a scratch!

Mongols - Turn 54

The Romans' initial onslaught has been dealt with. :) Now we're training more spears, and resuming the expansion of our khanate.

The Romans built a new city - in the artic region north of Rome... That makes 2 cities out of 4.

Game emailed.

Mongols - Turn 57

Writing in 2 turns. :)

Another spear readied in Kazan. Two new workers, to link up our cities and resources. New settler being readied, in Ta'tu.

The Romans had a far distant outpost, Neapolis, outside some Fe. Looks good for an initial target, but we'll hit Veii first...

Iroquois extorted 20g from the Empire of Japan. We paid because Scandinavia is our first target. In the process of raising an invasion force.

Mongols - Turn 71

5th city founded, on the river-mouth directly west of Karakoram. The port-city of Tabriz, someday to be our main naval base.

Horse tile has been connected; next is the iron tile. Making the barest preparations to invade Rome. :yeah:

The Romans had founded another city, in the desert NE of Karakoram. Marked for razing, overlapping with another of our proposed city-sites.

Sent out a spear to disrupt the Romans' only iron source, outside Neapolis. Or to deny it to the enemy.

Game emailed.

yeh lol

Mongols - Turn 72

New settler heading for southern plains. :) Escorted.

Mapmaking done in 12 turns.

Iron to be connected in 4 turns. Then it's Armageddon (after an army of swords is raised of course). :yeah: For the time being, Mongol horsemen will soon be patrolling the front.

Game emailed.

Not much to report. Japanese attack for currently consists of 6 horsemen and 4 swordsmen. Hope to raze Trondheim on turn 75. :)

Here is a Roman iron source:
