The Dual Alliance II

Lost an elite horseman deep inside Iroquoisland. Captured one of their workers and they captured one of mine.

I'm calling it a night. Game e-mailed. :)

Mongols - Turn 101

By the Grace of the Almighty Lord of the Steppes, the Great Leader Ogodei is born in the feat of battle! :yeah: For famously single-handingly withstanding attacks by three Roman archers.

Really tempted to use it to rush the GL in Veii, but oh well... :) Created an Army; which we shall name the Orkhon Army. Hehe.

Now don't do army's like the computer ;)

I am doing a huge map and i saw a viking army with a knight on top and right clicked it and turns out they have 1 knight and 2 archers :p

I have one of 3 cavs and 3 knights

Oh yes, this is still one of the best PBEM's out there :goodjob:

I'm not planning on actually building the Great Library. I'll have monarchy in four turns and will build the Hanging Gardens then. Glad you didn't build the GL though since I don't have anything else to use as a pre-build right now!

Captured Allegheny:

Now, do I look like a computer to you? :p

My army's unloaded yet. Got 2 elite swords in Veii; to chance for another GL. One vet just reached it.

Planned on a 2 swords army, before loading up last slot with a med inf. ;)

Probably 'cause it's an allied game, and we're free to post anything pretty much. :)

If I get a second, will build FP. A third and I'll build the GL... ;) Though not likely...

Be warned. :)

Mongols - Turn 102

Loaded the Orkhon Army with a vet sword. Elite sword survived attk by Roman archer earlier. Nothing much else.

Grouping for a mass assault on Rome. :)

Game shalt be emailed.

Mongols - Turn 105

Border skirmishes betw Veii and Rome; mostly won by us. :)

Mislocation of troops for assault on Rome - early morning blues... Need to reposition staging point.

12 turns to currency.

Build Hanging Gardens. Probably should switch to monarchy now but keep forgetting. The Iroquois war see-saws back and forth...

Researching construction now.

Lost Allegheny! :(

Traded monarchy to the Vikings for construction. Closing in on samurai. :ninja:

Mongols - Turn 109

Lost a spear near Rome, but otherwise nothing of note. Mongol army resting up before final assault on the city, while awaiting for more reinforcements... :)

8 more turns to currency.

Game emailed.

Mongols - Turn 110

The puny Romans were willing to give us 2 cities for peace, but... :p

We noted that we're the strongest military power on the continent... :) but the Japanese had humongous amounts of culture.

Mongol army will swing into action in the next few turns, after more swords had arrived. Then the march on Rome shall begun.

Game emailed.

Mongols - Turn 113

Enemy at the Gates! :D

Weak Roman counterattk merely took out 2 hps fr spear in second column...

Not much to report. Researching republic at minimum rate. Still 35 turns to go. Iroquois swordsmen approaching Bergen:

Mongols - Turn 114

Rome falls and a Great Leader is born! No losses as our three elite swordsmen take on the city's pitiful spearmen garrison. :yeah:

The Orkhon Army heads for Antium, with some support, while the rest rests up.

The GL is used to hurry the FP in Veii - nowhere else is suitable...

Mongols - Turn 118

Researched currency - we're now medieval! Now researching monotheism. Going to go for Sistine's... ;)

Forces massed outside Ravenna, now sized 2. Orkhon Army outside the Roman capital of whichever, also sized 2. :yeah:

We're on the brink of going on a cultural golden age, and playing catch-up to the Japanese. :D

Game emailed.
