The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion

I finaly got some, the corpse rolled into a rock and got stuck :) Then I got jumped by scamps :(

I'm just glad it went through that oblivion gate instead of into it, our of curiosity I tried god mode and stepped into the lava, still got hurt.. I think I've closed 3 gates at cities and 2 in the wild so far. Frankly they all look the same more or else and are getting boring.

Just finished the main quest...

Martin, using the power of the amulet, turned himself into a flaming dragon!

On a related note, the main quest seemed kind of short...

Question to Chieftess about the ending.

I think it's time for me to take a break and have lunch. A very late lunch but lunch nonetheless. Plus supper will, as usual, be late.

You guys are nuts. Yea the main quest is short but you get lots and lots of side quests.

@ Thunderfall I realized that a little while after my post. I haven't been into shops that sell alchemy ingrediants for a loooong time.

So, where's the part where you get a fan that follows you around? The only ones I get to follow me around are Mage Guild Aprentices, and they wind up getting themselves killed in the first battle... (They were lucky once, and the male mage got a Daedric Helmet, while the female mage got a Daedric Mace and Greaves).

Also, in the final main quest, in the ensuing chaos, somehow one Imperial Guard attacked the other. So, in the hall, they were shouting insults and attacking eachother, while everyone else heads outside. It was funny. :)

I had to save frequently and reload a few times, as I would accidently hit a guard when they were low on HP...

I had a companion (still do, just have not bothered to go and pick her up again) who was somewhat high leveld (she did most of the work in the oblivion gates, I just got the scamp's attention and then hid behind a pillar). She accidently shot a blade in a battle and afterwards they were fighting each other, kind of annoying. That happened twice so in total I re-loaded that part 3 times.

And Chieftess, that question is hidden by the spoilers.

You could always use them as cannon fodder. Or murder him in the forest. Or maybe dress them up as guards around your house?

Speaking of houses, I got the manor in Anvil but even after cleaning out the ghosts I still think the basement needs to be filled with cement. I don't like having some creappy unholy place in my celler.

Ahh that annoying fan!? I led him to my Skingrad house, then I used a daedric staff to create an evil clone of himself to kill him, and soul trapped his soul into a black soul gem.

His annoying soul now sits on my desk.

I just finished the Thieves Guild Quest. I kind of guess who the Grey Fox was. I'm kinda annoyed though. I played the Ultimate Heist level, went through the tower and done all the stuff and when I killed the Arch Mage whatever I got an Ebony Warhammer worth around 1500 and a Staff of Fatigue or something, lot of money. but I was being chased by 'the man' and I didn't have time so I just saved it. once I loaded it back up later I always had guards after me, even with a bounty of zero and paying off my bounty with the guy from the Water side. no matter where i went there was always the danger music playing so I had to reload an old say and the arch mage didn't have the ebony hammer anymore, she had a less expensive War Axe, sucks.

Doing the assassin missions now. killing people is fun :)

Has anyone else made the same mistake as I? you forget your sneaking and go up to talk to someone and then you pickpocket them. Which they see you do so ultimately whoop your ass? I done that to the Grey Fox once...... wasn't very happy with me.

Also, I was under the impression that the Guards in the cities were at a set level above you, no matter how good you got, they were always slightly better? if that's the case why do they continue to have fine steel bows when I've got Elven boys and the like? they're making stealing VERY unprofitable

Note the family resemblence...

Coincidence? I think not! ;)

A what? I have not seen any of those...

I am glad they do not show burns on your char because mine would be charcoal from the lava I stepped in, the fireballs from the scamps and the flame antronaches.

@Chieftess: In the console typing player.payfine might have worked. Or not, if the fine was payed off... I've only used it once when I was trying to get up from a chair I kept clicking on items at the bar.

Hehe, just found a nice little touch that is fairly obvious, but still quite cute to me.

There's a quest where you have to defeat a gang of women who are prowling on men in Anvil. In my first game as a man, they attempted to do their wicked deed with me, but in this game as a women they offered to let me join.

Just a shame I wasn't allowed to. I mean, I would have refused, being the knightly thing to do, but still :(

AERRRRRCGH! I bought my house in Skingrad but after furnishing it.. guess what? There is stuff in half the chests! And I'm paranoid in leaving my stuff in chests that already came with something even if I am supposed to own them (ever since morrowind).

Is it safe for me to use them or do I have to use the ones without anything already in them?

Just sell what was in there and fill it up. I did learn that you can only fit so much in one chest before things are invisible but still in there.

Oh dear, I really should re-read my posts twice. I left out what I was paranoid about, the stuff disappearing.

I just want to double-check , it won't disappear, will it? Those items that are in there already won't respawn and wipe mine out?

As I said, I am very paranoid about that.
