The Chronicles of Kongming

It is a general truism of this world that anything long divided will surely unite, and anything long united will surely divide. This has been so since antiquity.
Now that China is in ruins, one must come to unite it, and that one is certainly Ma Teng, the leader of our mighty faction. Who can best him in strength? So I assure the people of Liangzhou, that unless some grave tragedy befalls our benevolent ruler, it will be he, and he alone who unites the warring states.

His beliefs are strong; he follows the philosophy of Daoism, and advocates his Belief with fervor so strong, that it's like can scarcely be found.
And as to his belief? At the moment, he advocates Division, the belief that all factions should stay seperate, and rule themselves. Of course, if all China is Liangzhou Faction....

See, oh stranger, his lands! Has any noble ever commanded so much? All shall fall before the mighty Ma Teng! Now Ma Teng, in addition to his fearless warriors, has the aid of one whose blade is unequaled. Pang De, the Lord of Horses.

Now, having proclaimed the might of Ma Teng, I turn to other affairs.
Seeking to improve the might of Liangzhou, Ma Teng has commanded his sages to begin the study of construction and architecture.

In addition, he has signed agreements with Han Sui, our neighbor, granting both factions right of passage in each other's lands.

To the indignation of all, we have received news that Li Jue holds Emperor Xian captive! (Caragus: The gold star next to the Li Jue's name indicates he has the emperor.) Furthermore, he has converted to the disgraceful belief of Rebellion! Did ever a warlord have such ambition?
Better news has come from Wu Wei; Ma Chao, son of Ma Teng, has come of age! It is said that Ma Chao is a mightier warrior then even his father!

Then, to testify to his greatness, Ma Teng began the construction of his tomb, building a massive Terracotta Army to protect him in the afterlife. Unfortuanately, this required large amounts of peasant labor, causing slight unrest among his subjects. After the construction of his tomb, he began finding grazing grounds and pastures for the nomads that make up much of our glorious faction.

Liangzhou has seen much cultural growth as well, and our population is growing steadily.

After mastering the art of high-rise structures, Ma Teng ordered our finest soldiers to begin the developement of the skill of swordsmanship.

In the mean time, Pang De mastered the art of the Flying Wedge Formation, after much training in the Art of War. Ma Chao, meanwhile, developed a system that allowed a cavalry charge to do maximum damage, vastly increasing the potency of out armies.

After many days of study and meditation, our sword masters developed Dao, the Art of the Sword. Ma Teng then ordered the sages to begin unlocking the secrets of the Celestial Masters.

At this time, Ma Teng was highly fond of training in his spare time, and grew very adept with his blade.

It was then that we met Yang Feng, leader of the Yellow Turban group the White Wave Army! Many said we ought to slay the rebels then and there, but the fact that they were a long distance away and posed no threat stayed Ma Teng's hand. Instead, he decided to sign an open borders agreement, and deal with the rebels later.

Ma Teng, realizing the need for a work force, formed a worker unit to improve the land around Liangzhou. As of yet, they have not received any commands.

Quests:
The common serf hates Ma Teng, but he has the army on his side. Anyone who wishes to overthrow Ma Teng will have the support of the people, but will find himself against the soldiers.
Ma Teng is looking for a scholar to teach his son, Ma Chao, philosophy. He is willing to pay for the services of a learned philosopher.
