The Chronicles of Kongming

Volume II:

Wu Wei is in chaos! The peasants have risen up, and attacked Ma Teng!
The revolution began when a renegade soldier named Christos Lee led 6,000 peasants in an assault on Ma Teng's troops, with the aid of one Nigh Ture, a farmer. They were met by 9,000 cavalry, led by Ma Teng himself, with Ma Chao beside him. Things were looking black for the revolt, when the merchant Chen Yi arrived, at the head of 7,000 rebels! Ma Teng and his son were captured, and the soldiers surrendered to the peasant army.
Then Christos Lee, swelled with his victory, went forward to claim the crown of Liangzhou. But, alas, it was not to be. His troops, driven mad by their victory, began to riot, looting the houses of the social elite, and sometimes even killing their owners. Likewise, several manors of rich nobles have been burned my peasants soaked with hatred for the rich.
One manor, that of Li Hao Shi, was only saved from a fiery fate by the intervention of Shao Yu, who, with his band of men, heroically held off the rioting peasants.
There were also revolts in the cities of An Ding and Tian Shui. In Tian Shui, the 1,000 rebels were crushed by Pang De, leading the garrison of 3,000 archers. In An Ding, a meager force of 6,000 soldiers valiantly held off a force of 13,000 rebels, till Pang De arrived with reinforcements.
So this is the state of China: Wu Wei is in the hands of Christos Lee, while his troops riot throughout the countryside. Chen Yi remains in control of his troops. An Ding and Tian Shui are in the hands of Pang De, who has broken any traces of rebellion left in them, and Ma Teng and his son, Ma Chao, are in prison.
Before the revolt, one Lobsang set up a Buddhist worshipping site on his farm, but it has not had many visitors, due to the rebellion. Also, a merchant named Strizu Hao was granted the position of Wise Teacher, but with Ma Teng deposed, not much is likely to come of this.
These are the Chronicles of Kongming, Second Volume.

Speech by Christos Lee:

Today the people of China won. Because the chinese nation isnt only those rich lords but also the people. I ask my soldiers to stop the killing. We have won. Now the free people have gave me the power.

Chen Yi will become gonvernor of An Ding. His job will be to decide what it will be producted in the city and making sure that the law will remain active in this city. I have the power of veto in any of his decicion. I call him to go with his army and half of army to take over that city.

Nigh Ture will become gonvernor of Tian Shui. His job will be to decide what it will be producted in the city and making sure that the law will remain active in this city. I have the power of veto in any of his decicion. I call him to go with his army and half of army to take over that city.

Ma Teng will be allowed to live a very good life if he recognises me as king, tell that my enemies are traitors and call of the people in the cities of my enemys to revolt.

As a soldier i call the army to unite with me and the people and let those rich scums, who are using the army, to die.

Stizu Hao will become my advisor. He will decide what will be producted in Wu Wei. I have the veto power.

Pang De will become general if he joins me. Also i call my army to kill all of my soldiers that dont listen to my orders anymore.

I will extend my home to all rebels who need it, as long as they do not pillage my farm.
Aid will be given to the injured rebels.

Nigh Ture you are gonvernor of Tian Shui. Your job will be to decide what it will be producted in the city and making sure that the law will remain active in this city. I have the power of veto in any of your decicion. I call you to go with your army and half of army to take over that city.

take over the city. finish construction of the school, if it is not complete, then produce a worker to build farms and a pasture.
then train horsemen.

Shao Yu makes an impassioned speech, addressing the rioters, drawing on Confucian values.

Countrymen! People of Liangzhou!
Can you not feel the weight of the shame your fathers would feel if they knew you approached refugees and vagrants with ill intent in your hearts? Would you still be able to look your mothers, wives & daughters in the eyes after ravaging the maids and womenfolk of the gentry? Or feed your children, knowing that they were sated on rice stained with the blood of men?
Do you think that after today's events, you could return to the shrines of your ancestors and claim you were a filial son?

Lay down your arms.

Go home, take your families and escape from this troubled province.
But if you can't; at least be a force for good. Help assist this man (Li Hao Shi) in what he is doing and help shelter &
nurture one another instead of fueling the tyranny of chaos.

Virtue & morality are not lost in China so long as men like him exist and so long
as the backbone of the Han, you, the peasants, stand upright.

Li Hao Shi
Continue to try to stay independent, and keep helping the refugees and the wounded. If necessary, accept volunteers to Shao Yu's corps to help defend this manor. Refuse to declare for either side until the fighting subsides.

As the blood-stained Sun rises
To the rampaging of demons
Christos will receive surprises
When his devils ignore his summons

All have a place in this land
The heaven, the Earth, the Man
Against the ursurpers, we must band
To stand upright as the Han

I quell the revolt in An Ding.

<< People of China, support me. As i have promised i have managed to free you from the tyrrany of the rich. Soldiers and farmers unite for a strong china. A united china. Rise up against the rich fedual lords, kill them and become free. Everyone who supports me, supports the chinese nation. Everyone who is against me is against to china and a traitor. It is time to create a new, strong and united china. It is the time to re create the Han dynasty and make china the greatest empire the world has ever seen. >>

You are traitor to your king, to the chinese people and the chinese nation. You are arrested for helping my enemys. Talking against the king or any official is a crime.

I offer aid to the displaced at my temple.

You can offer aid to anyone except my enemies. If you aid my soldiers i will give you money. But if you offer aid to my enemys your temple will be burned to the ground.

Virtue & morality are not lost in China so long as men like him exist and so long

You are enemy of the chinese nation. You have:

1) Called the soldiers to leave the army and let their king.

2) You call the soldiers to betray the king.

3) You call the soldiers to protect my enemys. ( And since i am the king you call them to protect the enemys of the state)

4) You start propaganda against the officials and the king.

So i order your arrest and you will soon be put on trial for your crimes against the chinese nation.

You can offer aid to anyone except my enemies. If you aid my soldiers i will give you money. But if you offer aid to my enemys your temple will be burned to the ground.

I am aiding anyone who needs it. I am a humanitarian, not a monster.

That is against the law of the state. Offer aid to anyone except my my enemies. In times of war we cant aid our enemies. If you refuse the i will sent the army and burn to the ground you tample.

If you think the commentary of General Christos Chen of Li Jue's disgraceful capture of the Emperor Xian refers to you, Sir Christos Lee? You are not worth such attention of a poet of my skills and of my intellect, and you overexaggerate your importance.

Once I saw a possible Mandate of Heaven in you. You could have been the next King, you could have proven yourself worthy.

Now I see one paranoid of heaven's wrath. You stare warily at the thundering skies, and warily at your own men. You have no Mandate of Heaven, you have a Mandate of Slaughter.

By proving yourself paranoid, you have admitted that you are not, indeed, the rightful ruler of LiangZhou. By proving yourself paranoid, you have admitted that you are attempting to overthrow the rightful Mandate of Heaven of Ma Teng. Watch, peasants, as his troops, once uncles and sons, now ravage your wives! Watch, Merchants, as their soldiers take your wares! Never has this happened under Ma Teng, whose taxes were high, but fair. I know, I pay them myselves and for the sake of my tenants.

You have proven yourself unworthy of my trust. I declare in favor of Pangde and Ma Teng. I call for a volunteer corps to join Shao Yu's Corps from my Fief. I declare Christos has lost the Mandate of Heaven

And this is all your fault, completely.

(seriously, I was looking that way and I slipped your name there when I needed a name to fit the flow, didn't know you also played this game; actually, seeing how everything went to how I should have guessed)

Also, you are not a King, you are a rebel general. You cannot be a king until you are coronated, and you cannot be coronnated until you pacified a kingdom, and you cannot pacify a kingdom when there are still royalist forces in this realm, and you cannot defeat royalist forces in this realm without a diciplined army, and you cannot have a diciplined army who is rampaging and raping and stealing.

Therefore you cannot be king.

I sent the army to arrest and execute Li Hao Shi.

You have a last chance to say sorry.

Once i execute you and the loyalists forces will be destroyed, then come and talk to me.

Also Chen Yi and Nigh Ture, once you take over the cities, you will get some money. The 1/3 of them will go to the state and you will keep the rest.
