since we go space we need education. That can mean Lib... if we're sure we fulffill rules around Lib (and we seem to be on a good way towards it) I don't see any harm going Philo--> Lib

All battles has gone my way. Except the attack on Xian. It was reasonable for one treb to survive.

I moved my army towards Nanjing. I only had 1 treb with me so I decided to wait for a couple more which might have been a mistake as in two turns China got 6 LBs there. China sent most units from Xian towards Kish when I had emptied the city. This allowed me to kill all his LBs in the open. Xian was now defended by 2 sword and 1 axe so I sent mya rmy there instead. By the time I got there he had 2 LBs. It was not a great battle. Lost 3 trebs, 2 cats and a vulture against 2 LBs, 2 swords and 1 axe.

I missed that on the first turn Lincoln got taoism. Should have changed to paper/education. Sorry.

Killed 2 archers, 2 impi, 2 horse archers, 4 LBs, 2 chariots, 3 swords, 1 catapult, 2 axes, 1 galley. Lost 3 trebs, 2 catapults, 1 vulture, 1 warrior.

We have an additional army ready to move into China. If we wait for the current army to heal we should be able to overrun Nanjing and continue pushing.

The zulu are sending small inconsequential armies which we defeat without looses.

I voted for Lincoln to get diplomatic bonus with him but I can't see that we have gotten any. But he is up to pleased anyway.

China has engineering now.

I was to hesitant in the war. I could probably has pushed harder. I had one opportunity to attack Nanjing with 2 cats and 1 treb while there was 2 LBs defending but I hesitated.

If we continue the war with China we will wear them down but will it slow us to much? We have horses to our north. If we make pece we can colonize the peninsula. (4 settlers and capture barb city) build oxford and get some cavalry.

We have our Heroes of the Boxer Rebellion. We can get peace and 300g profit. I'd rather take the money, finish settling the north east and fight later wars with mounted units and gunships.

Just chiming in to say I still try to follow this, but that due to RL I haven't seen a save in ages. Keep it up and I'll try to keep up.

We're a bit light on trebs but enough other stuff, if we're willing to accept losses we could have a go at Nanjing. SB has a small stack and may be seeking revenge, no problem unless we lose most of our army in a pyrrhic victory.

I think loosing the trebs for the city would be a good trade. If we wait for our hurt army to heal we could easly have two more trebs. 5 trebs should be more then enough.

pigswill's articulated pretty well my position too ... I'm not overly confident with what we've got, but I'm willing for us to take a shot, especially if we can toss in a few additional units. I saw that Native American stack also - I'm guessing that it's unlikely to be an issue, but nonetheless, one to watch.

Role for Great General? Medic Spear?

I was thinking medic spear. would make our stack heal fast.

I think Lymond's troubles extend indefinitely. He said he had some sort of mysterious RL crisis in my SG and it has been a month since. Personally, I do think, just like me, he got a Civ4 crisis and the interest just waned.
