The Essence of the Left

Adult people. Check the definition of "adult". :p

In the Middle Ages if you died before reaching 5 years it was considered a natural abortion.

It was so common that it is not even worth to count such deaths.

At least not if you want to know how long you could live after you managed to survive your 5th birthday.

The lords are included in the data I posted too.

Your link says that up to 50% of the children died under age five.

But of those who died under age five, something like 90% died under age one (and many of those died during birth).

So if you survived your birth, and then the first year, your chances were increasing. :p

Also in the Middle Ages men lived longer than women, because death in childbirth was more likely than death in battle. :)

with all them holidays they had, time off for funnerals must account for an awefull lot of them...

Probably. But at least coffins were mostly small (less expensive). If they used coffins.

to keep it on topic, one of the earlist leftist bennifts was a fund established by unions to get burried properly after years of working, nowdays it is about enjoying your retirement years, but that comes out of the unions/workers fear that you might not get burried right and end up in a paupers grave...

But let's also remember that the data refers not only to natural deaths, also deaths in wars count. For example the lowest life expectancy in East Germany (out of all regions) is not a coincidence - a major cause of premature deaths there were... Germans, and Christians in general (local Slavic inhabitants were Pagans and stubbornly refused to convert).

Aristocracy was hierarchy by bravery.
Perhaps bravery is the roots. Perhaps. Being very kindly-spirited towards aristocracy.
Likewise though, the roots of democracy may be said to be bravery.

But in either case, what actually developed from such roots stands decidedly apart from values as bravery etcetera.
You just must see that. To be perfectly honest, if you don't, it sounds like you live in a fantasy world which only exists in your imagination. :dunno:

Though I certainly agree with you that representative democracy in itself is kinda sucky and that there is not much actual control over who gets to decide what. But nor is there in a developed aristocracy.
