What is possible to be purchased with 1 IC, or is it all the land or nothing?

We will sell to New Europa unless someone comes to us with a better price by the end of the year.

Because the whole land goes for 4 EP, we would be willing to purchase around this amount for 1 EP. It should be roughly a fourth of the land.

The part in the atrocious green is what we are talking about. (ignore the holes please >_>)

Three Questions
1) If I want to upgrade some of my militia to regular infantry, how much would this cost?

2) I want to develop my own medium tank.
Cobra I Medium Tank
The Cobra is a mismatch of leftover parts. It's 29mm gun is stolen off a French infantry-support weapon that was useless in the Great War, due to the time it takes to set up, but large numbers were purchased by Mexico, and it was used in the tank because it would be cheap. However, the gun has to be operated by the tank's commander, as there wasn't any room in the turret. It's engine is a civilian truck engine, capable of going an amazing 30mph, but overheats when used at full speed for long periods of time. It's armor is only a few millimeters, however, though it is sloped to offer as much protection as possible. The tank is cast, rather then welded together, making the whole construction far more efficient. A wiseman once said you can have things two of three ways, Good, Fast, Or Cheap. The Cobra is cheap, and actually fast, but it's mismatched nature leaves it less then one of the tanks used by Mexico's northern neighbors.
My cost idea: 75 tanks for 1 IC, each slightly less effective then a northern tank.

Finally, can I increase my IC by pumping IC points directly back into my economy?

@shadowbound:

1. ok, the tricky issue of upgrade. Consider this: you get 1 IC back for every two full groups you scrap. 20,000 Irregulars, 10,000 Militia, or 5,000 Infantry make 1 IC. Same goes for all other types of units, except ships, which cannot be changed in form.
2. All right, tech research price will be provided on first page after the update. For future reference, jsut give a good description like that, say what you want it to do like Shadow did in "My cost idea" section, and I'll give you a price for research after the following update.
3. Pretty much that's the only way to increase IC. Come up with a realistic sounding program like industrial recovery programs or such like that. I'll determine cost, and once you start spending, you'll eventually find out how much the program helped your IC. If you make a good program, you'll see a major boon in IC, inversely make a program that bankrupts your nation and you may even lose IC.

Starting preliminary update now, after it, feel free to send in orders and such.

Finally, I like stories and details, the more the merrier.

Four-years to Superpower!
El Presidente proposes revolutionary 4-year plan

After overwhelming his opponents in last year's presidential elections, President Sandrez, who became acting-President following the death of President Salvatore in a freak motorcade accident, has proposed a new policy of rapid industrialization. By developing a new line of industrial tractors and then offering displaced farm workers new incentives to move to the cities, Sandrez hopes to rapidly transform Mexico into a nation with the industrial capacity of a regional power such as the CSA. New railroads will link outlying mines and refineries together, making the entire process of enrichment more efficient. Highways will make movement about the country easier for automobiles and other mechanized vehicles, while unemployment will be solved by hiring of workers, whose necessities will be provided by the government, to fill new factories to produce goods for what will become the dominant economy in Central and South America. Approval is high in the Congress for the new proposal, and the populace is even more enthusiastic. Libertad!

Army puts Cobra tank through it's paces
The Cobra Medium Tank, the first native armor design in the Americas, was given an hour of free access by the press. Now in the prototype stage, the Cobra was put through a variety of difficult terrain, a mile sprint, and destroyed a number off mock-ups, based on the British Mk. V, with amazing accuracy. The Cobra is expected to enter production in a matter of months.

Oppressed mallates revolt against Texan Army
Oppressed blacks outside of Roswell have seized munitions belonging to the Texan Army. Though Texan forces moved immediately to suppress the resisters, numerous weapons were sent into the countryside before they were able to retake the town. Texas continues to deny accusations of massacres in it's heartland, despite constant witnesses presented by newspapers in Louisiana, Mexico, and California.

Napoleon, a name with a history, a name with weight. The Third, Napoleon the Third. It failed to have the exact same impact on people he found. Sure he had maken progress in crafting his father and his father before thats dream of an Empire, but then he had gambled and lost. He was getting older now though and surely he would not remain on this earth for much longer.

But he didnt want to leave his people with a shameful image, he would do something great. He would raise the spirits of the people and leave his mark on this land.

As was tradition after his death his son would take up the crown. But there was something in his old bones that suggested that his son was not a steadfast believer in Monarchy. He took great pride in the thought that his grand father had free'd the slaves and sought equality, to some extent, for all men, French or English, White or Black.

The Communists had provided an extreme for his son to study and while their goal was admirable the execution of their pursuit for equality was not what the Napoeons wanted. The British way of running things intrigued Napoleon the fourth, but was not without its own faults. And so he spent his time thinking on ways to improve his nations ruling government.

While his father kept an eye on world events. The uprising of the negroe people in Texas came as little surprise, the racists constant abuse of the black man was wearing thin and it had been only a matter of time before they snapped and fought back.

The sale of northern columbia was also interesting, while the Russians would have benefited greatly from such a purchase had not been able to afford it, New Europa had stated that they would purchase it for the given price but Napoleon was unsure as to whether they actually had enough to buy the land. He was in no doubt that whoever managed to buy the land would gain a fair advantage over their neighbours. While California managed to bring in a fair amount of commerce to help fund whatever projects they had in mind.

Napoleon looked out over his Empire, "heh empire indeed", he thought wryly. And began planing.

ooc: the third? You'd be on the 6th by now.

Vice Foreign Minister Gueller wilted under the Louisianan rain. A oiled pancho was draped over his suit, he wore a wide brimmed hat on his head and he held an umbrella over in his hand. How could they stop themselves from going insane after seeing dismal gray and the dull patter-patter constantly was beyond him, not used to the concept of rain for a whole day, let alone constantly. A rational part of his mind knew that the rain wasn't constant, but it might as well have been.

Gueller trudged towards the Palais-Imperiale, futilely trying to keep his shoes and trouser legs dry. He was a perfect example of European ancestry, his ancestors had come over from Austro-Hungary when Maximilian was made Emperor of Mexico, just about when Lee secured the CSA's independence.

The Palais-Imperiale's guards, at the front gate, inquired of his intentions when he approached. With a flourish he produced his passport and the document proving his rank.

"I am Vice Foreign Minister Enrique Gueller, here on business from El Presidente Sandrez to see His Imperial Majesty Napoleon III." He could have named several more titles for each, pulling them from his perfect memory, but he saw no need to waste it on the Louisianans. "Or the mallates..." he thought to himself as he saw the color of several of the guards. That Louisiana had a substantial black population, none could deny. That it also had a substantial black middle-class... few in Mexico enjoyed thinking about that.

A sub-teniente, no, a second lieutenant for francophones, who was second-in-command of the gate escorted him across the courtyard, and cut past the legal barriers that stood between the Emperor and his subjects like a hot knife through butter.

"I will inform the Emperor that you wish to speak with him, or his representative." The second lieutenant bowed and proceeded further, leaving Gueller in a waiting room. He shrugged off his pancho, and took out a small folder containing anything he might need for the Presidente's proposal.

President Browder was looking at the latest’s reports, he smiled at the news of the LA stock exchange crash, “The capitalist pigs are getting what they deserve” he told his assistant. “Now they’ll reap what they have sown and as they succumb to their own decadence the proletariat shall rise up and cast off the chains of capitalist exploitation”.

Browden was getting ready to send his orders to Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the USA, the time of reforms had come.
His orders were not exactly blueprints for what had to be done, he simply provided the Politburo with raw schetches of what had to be done, after all it was the Politburo’s job to work out the policies in the fine details.

CPUSA-logo.png

He wrote: “Army Reforms: The army must be purged of all questionable elements, from this moment forward only those whom are dedicated to the cause of communism beyond all reasonable doubt shall be allowed in the army, the Army shall be known as the Red Army, the army reserve (militia) shall be named known as the Red Guard.

Economic Reforms: Henceforward economic grow shall be achieved thought five-year plans, All industry shall be nationalized and farming shall be collectivized.

Research and Technology: Progress in the Technological fields shall be greatly funded as we are surrounded by enemies and technological superiority is one of the cornerstones on witch the house of communim shall be build.”

Truely thought Prime Minister Jacque Lafayette it would be a wonder to rule with a strong hand, as senators are so annoying. Why did he have to spell it out for them. Yes the people of Quebec fell the need to improve their country. Yes we all lament the good old days, but these aren't them. We are not a world power and we need to improve our country drastically in the near future.

I am glad we are a republic though, all that slavery nonsense and worship me cause Im important bs of the aristocracy. Jacque was very French in those beliefs. You moved up because you are skilled and liked, not because of a genetic lottery.

Oh another senator was speaking, who is it? Ah the old fart from the coastal region Pierre. What was it this time. Oh we don't need to expand our capabilities oh the hardship it will cause...blah blah... I am going to have to give a rousing speech now to counter this and seal the deal to get the Grand Modernization Plan underway.

Jacque stood and spoke...and the headline the next day proclaiming the Grand Modernization Plan warmed him as he sat and drank his morning tea. Yes we rise because we are good, not because we are lucky in parents.
